Queen-Mayhem finds laundromats very convenient because she can do a whole month of laundry at a time by using multiple machines, and she's only had her clothes stolen once. BlackSwallowtailButterfly chimes in to remind everyone that she has always had access to on-site laundry, and therefore everyone who answered the poll as though they might have to use off-site laundry is out of touch.


The Butterfly elaborates on her assumption that her experiences are universal, and the Queen returns to tout the conveniences of wash-and-fold services.


The Queen reveals the lengths she has been driven to by the fact that she can't actually afford a wash-and-fold, and her opinions on the maturity of people who grew up doing the dishes as a chore.

I think if (and when) I have to make the choice, I'd rather have to hand wash a handful of dishes every day or so than drag all my clothes out of my house and pay strangers to touch them.

Ideally Id rather have a genie do both of them for me forever but who doesn't.

Whoever wrote that post probably has a sink full of filthy stinking dishes with a swarm of drain flies over it and probably unwashed dishes on the counter.

The advantage is if I have a washer/dryer I don't have to leave and go somewhere else.

I can wash dishes in the sink right at home.

Very amused that this half-confirms the bet I saw someone make on Twitter that this person's Filipino (still right on them being SEAsian!), but... Huh? I've read this over repeatedly and can't decipher what the absolute fuck this person is on about. And isn't that sort of a low kudo number to brag about, even for historical RPF?
