This is somewhat cheating because it's from Twitter, but there was a poll on what shade of skin tumblr users had. Hundreds of thousands took the poll.

Whites or Asians. Only 0.6% black. The gender wars really did come on the heels of white tumble girls.

I glanced at the account that posted that poll and oh man if you want some REALLY telling statistics about tumblr's userbase check out the rest of the polls they posted.

I bet both of those have a huge argument over central heterochromia vs. hazel in the notes. The difference between the two is extremely minor (gradient between colors vs clearly defined edge) and the sort of thing I can see them getting bent all of shape over and goalpost-moving over 'clearly defined'.
