Low effort post af tbh, looking at the theme song you could easily do this in a way that actually matches the characters themselves, they feel kinda swapped around here:

Garnet (I will fight for the place where I'm free, to live together and exist as me): she should have the 'everywhere else kikes get killed' one (even tho they would prolly castrate her for being black but whatever). Self determination one could work too ig.
Pearl (I will fight in the name of Rose Quartz and everything that she believed in): obviously pro-israel out of deeply religious reasons, she should have the 'isreal defines judaism' one.

Another good chunk of that Princess Weekes video is the discussion of what whiteness is and how you cannot be both white and black.

Whiteness as a concept was invented to position certain people above others on a biological scale. It was then codified into law across the world as such. You cannot be both white and black. If you are black, you will never have access to whiteness. And if you are white, you have distanced yourself from any semblance of blackness.

As a result you will notice that I don't call myself white whatsoever. I'm not. I am and will always be labeled as black. But I am Irish. I am Native. I'm just not white.

My mother, however, is white, and I'm much more willing to call her white because that's also *her* reality. She's Irish and Native. She strongly passes as white. So she identifies as white. In doing so, she has distanced herself from her Native roots, and enjoys many of the benefits of white privilege, and because of her ability to pass so well even when she verbally states that she is also Native, she is met with awe and praise rather unlike the reaction to anyone who actually visually presents as Native.

She is still affected, of course, by the genocide that decimated our people. She is still affected by laws put in place to further oppress Native people. And if this country should decide to round up its Native population for another large-scale extermination, she would certainly be on the chopping block.

But to most, she's a lily white blonde woman with blue eyes and a strongly Pennsylvanian accent who grew up dirt poor and pulled herself up by the bootstraps and made something of herself with her fancy college degrees and her half-million dollar house and long teaching career. She's got two kids (does it count as 2.5 if a third is adopted?), a dog, and a yard too- she's living the American dream.

(Nevermind that her husband and children are black, the house was a 90k mess when they bought it and restored it themselves over a 30 year period, her tuition was paid exclusively with scholarships, she was a waitress until she graduated, and she was disowned by her father for daring to love across racial lines. We just won't talk about that.)

Is it bad that this is not even in top 10 bad Tolkien posts I saw? I largely stopped posting in this thread because it is a ghost town, but Tumblr is as active as a site with like 8 largename bloggers (every second bad take I see traces back to prokopetz) could be.

Should have posted one arguing at lenght how every single character counts as GNC and is therefore queer. Victorians and 50s have nothing on these cunts.
