It's a shame because, despite some minor fuck-ups Bioware did (but who doesn't make mistakes?), :powerlevel:I think:powerlevel: their games are pretty diverse and progressive and touch upon the "grey morality" (or at least DA and ME).

I've heard these same people call BioWare racist for showing Templars in a sympathetic light sometimes, or writing the Dalish doing something wrong as a group. It's too difficult for them. They need a clean cut "evil whites oppress, enslave and kill black/brown race for no reason". Presenting it any other way is racist, xyz apologist, and obviously coming from the pen of a very ignorant white person. I wish I was joking.

And this is not bigoted and disgusting, because it's towards cishets and heteros, who are all bad people anyway. And have personally wronged your ass.

Punch me if I sound like a nazi, but growing up into a homophobe because you were born and raised in a homophobic environment is understandable. Consciously making yourself hate a target group enough to become physically ill at the sight of such content is absolutley re.tarded, completely voluntary and - yes indeed - your fault.

As much as I tire of homophobes and responding to the same arguments over and over again, they still deserve way more sympathy than this idiot.

Hell, trying to argue that Alistair's continued paleness throughout the games is due to the blight in his body is hogwash to these people! "He's whitewashed, wahwahwah," No he isn't; he's getting increasingly sick.

nobody on tumblr has played Origins, they don't know anything about the Darkspawn or the blight beyond "they're the bad guys for my queer intersex elf wizard to murder", hell, BIOWARE doesn't give a shit about the original concepts of DA either.

which is a shame because Origins is a fucking great game *sigh*

They will probably get triggered if they play as a city elf

it deals with a racist human noble who rapes elves. Especially if you play as a female. After all

I like how they are so persistent with the thought that 'everyone knows things would have been worse if the Nazis had won'. When that's obviously not true for the Nazis or white Europeans. Things would have stabilized and rebuilt, and then they'd have a whole class of slaves, which was the reason the southern states were prosperous in the 1800's. They were profiting off of cheap labor for generations. The same would have happened if the Nazi Empire took hold.

Then they backpedaled so hard and started complaining about the adverts.

Not to get too off-topic, but I think it's a consensus among historians that slavery would not have been sustainable and, had the Confederacy won, they would have eventually given it up anyway.

But, in any case, didn't they already do something about the Confederacy winning the war? It's not a new idea. I don't recall any bitching about that.

Yes they did and it's called CSA: Confederate States of America. It feels ludicrous initially but it's a good "what if" documentary. It's by PBS if I'm not mistaken.
