Huh, if you replace the white guy with a muslim one, this comic would make more sense.

While I mostly agree with the message (people should know the limits with making fun of kids art), "I'm the teacher" next to her blog description (asexual and pansexual at the same time and "peace out bithes") is the real cringe.

Well it's a good thing kids are generally not targets of cringe culture.
Well unless you count the adults on tumblr that never matured past being kids.

There’s a low level of Jew activism that’s burning in the background pretty much constantly. Assuming that there arent any POC need defending who are more POC than the Jews.

My favourite at the moment is people arguing over Carrie Fisher being Jewish or agnostic, saying it’s offensive to call her “a saint”, saying it doesn’t matter if she didn’t identify as Jewish/was raised Catholic because ethnicity, etc.
It’s not huge discourse but sometimes you find it, like a hidden shekel.

Honestly when women, tons and tons of women, started talking about how unsafe they felt all the time on Tumblr, I felt like I was the odd one out because I did not have any of those experiences, nor had most of the other women I talked to.

Nowadays, I know why that is.
Yeah, it's paranoia talking there. I used to walk home every single day at 2-3 AM without any form of self defense on my person, and never once felt like I was in any danger, it was just vacant and quiet. Though I live in a small peaceful town, so there's that. But if someone lives in a more dangerous neighborhood, it ain't because of their gender that they'll be getting jumped.

I know men that are over 6 foot tall and over 200 pounds, big ogre dudes, that feel uncomfortable walking alone at night. Maybe some people are just afraid of the bad things that could be lurking in the dark? I mean, if you're a big guy, maybe they have a knife? If you've got mace, maybe they've got a gun? People can always invent a potential scary thing if they think about it, so some people just walk faster and keep their head moving when they're out at night, even if they're in a relatively safe place. It doesn't seem to be a gendered thing to me.

Also, don't a majority of rapes and murders happen between acquaintances? Isn't being afraid of vague men lurking in the dark just sexism?

I sometimes suspect it's heavily ruled by one's inclinations. If you're already hypervigilant/paranoid/cynical, it might increase one's fear of being randomly assaulted. (I know I'm usually pretty tense, and I've never been randomly assaulted nor known anyone who was.)

Actually, most reputable tattoo places won't tattoo you where you can't hide it with clothes, unless you already have a bunch of tattoos and you understand that people will judge you negatively for being tattooed.

Now, there are unscrupulous tattooists who don't give a shit. Like, oh I don't know, informed consent clinics?
