It's almost like when people say they find a certain trait attractive, they want the rest of the person with that trait to be attractive as well! It's not like when a girl says she likes men with facial hair she'd throw herself onto the next neckbeard to come walking her way.

It's probably the Tumblr theme. Some of them are designed to have small font. A lot of aesthetic blogs have small font too and it's really annoying.

"nb lesbian" has always seemed like a contradictory term to me, cause like, isn't the rallying cry of all those tumblr nonbinaries "I'm not a boy! I'm not a girl!" but the fucking definition of lesbian is "gay woman," so what is the truth, tumblr? Just because you feel more comfortable in a pixie cut and suit jacket than long hair and a skirt doesn't immediately set you in a different category from just...women in general. The fuck's the reasoning, here?

I'm amazed how LGBTQUAFDSGJF is going so backwards nowadays. That said, it reminds me of shit I've went trough.
I'm tomboy and my bestie is a lesbian. I never cared enough about labels, but being always in those progressive circles, more and more people thought i was a lesbo too. I didn't thought about it much until she started apologizing because people thought I was lesbian too because of her (and having super short hair at the time). I knew there were already people in these hipster circles thinking I was a dyke, but then I realized my town is kinda super small, almost everybody knows everbody and then it dawned on me like, damn, people might actually think I'm one (and effectively driving the dick away from me). So this is kinda reason why this sort of thinking rubs me the wrong way, its so ass backwards way of thinking that this people should be banned from having opinion at all.

I mean, to be fair, I can't really think about any butch lesbian character in major media that wasn't just the butt of a joke or in the background for 2 seconds, so I kinda see where this comes from.
But the whole post is just such a stretch and so dramatic, it's just really hard to take any of it seriously. You can ask for fleshed out butch characters without, you know, throwing everyone else under the bus and being super aggressive about it. It's not evil to make tomboys straight, not everything is about oppressing you, sometimes people just want to exist, you know...

Last time I checked the abuse stories were debunked a long time ago. (There's a reason why Gary Oldman was given full custody instead of his ex when that's a rare thing that happens.) That doesn't stop stupid people on Tumblr who need to get on a soapbox because Gary got an award.
