Tumblr is currently losing their shit over this.
I'm losing my shit over how ugly her dress is

The creator of Ava's Demon drew a ~sexy pic~ of one of the characters from the comic and didn't apologize. The character is supposed to be a teenage girl. Here you go.
The issue with NGE is probably the Shinji jackin it to unconscious Asuka thing.
That character is supposed to embody the sin of lust, and I think the apples probably reference the forbidden fruit.
I remember tumblr drove the creator off the site because one of the characters, who was mad at being called a virgin, was not in fact, asexual.

....Meanwhile, pretty much unrelated, I found this blog. It's in a "character of the day format" and it is... "CSA survivor character of the day!"
Not just "child abuse survivor"... this is exclusively to fangirl over characters who were diddled as kiddies.
I have... I have no idea how many of these are canonically legit, but for some reason I get the feeling it mainly relies on headcanons.
Even if the characters mentioned on said blog are canonical csa survivors, since when is that something to glorify? I know a lot of tumblrinas pretend that they’re child sexual abuse victims for pity points but this is baffling.

I can't even say :autism: this time. This is just beyond fucked up.
powerlevel time:
i had a friend back when I was still on tumblr who pretended to be a csa victim and have abusive parents, but after knowing her for some time, I came to realize based on both her twitter and blog activity that she actually came from a fairly rich NYC based trustfund family and had an otherwise privileged life, and actually had no family issues, she admitted it herself.
it was angering to me personally, because I underwent abuse, not csa specifically, but abuse regardless, as a child, and I thought that she’d been telling the truth for such a long time. I’d entrusted her with my anger associated with trauma. She also pretended to have six mental illnesses and be trans, which were despicable, sure, but nothing struck me as quite as badly as finding out that she’d faked being an abuse survivor. And a lot of people I met ended up doing the same thing.

Er, isn't there a popular meme about the "let me speak to the manager" middle-aged white woman? It seems women (or older women) are usually the ones rude to service. I went on a binge of retail worker horror stories on Youtube and Reddit a while back and couldn't help noticing probably 70%-80% of the awful customers were women.

Sounds like more of an "insecure teenager" thing than a "literally every woman ever you sexist pigs".

Having worked in the service industry, middle-aged women and single moms with children are the worst customers you can get.

They are terrible.

Big time. Had an old lady have a spaz fit because we didn't carry a certain brand of donut.
The worst were always the mass couponer types and the ones who complain about every waking thing when I was in grocery. Like “manager” my ass, they need an attitude augmentation, not a fuckin’ manager because they can’t use twenty coupons to cheapen their stockpile of toothpaste by a dollar or w/e
