Tumblr loves to make thanksgiving a big deal and make it sound like the worst time of the year. Socializing with your family isn't really socializing per see, if you're on your twenties or younger no one really is going to care if ur stay in ur phone in the couch until dinner time where u can grab some good food. Honestly I doubt any of these people's relatives try to talk to them beside pre-scripted questions like how college or boyfriend/girlfriend is doing.

Policts might and often comes up during dinner but you don't have to fight your relatives on that either.

The people that make big deal out of this are A the super wokes or B self-problaimed autistics/people in the neurodiversity/mental illness community. But it's obvious a "problem" with a very easy solution.

All these Tumblr users sound way more annoying than their apparently shitty relatives. I have relatives who I completely disagree with too. Whenever I spent Thanksgiving with them and they said something that bugged me I just changed the subject instead of starting drama.
People who argue and start drama over the holidays are the real shitheads.

I've been thinking this for a while but I think service dogs have become a term that's beeing severely abused. Some dogs do very important work like working to help blind, deaf or people paralyzed waist down and while some other dogs purpose is emotional support which are indeed important as well I feel like these people really don't need it to be a service dog and they just want a dog.

I remember some girl's post about her being pissed off about people on campus wanting to pet her tiny dog which she was holding and she made this angry rant about how you shouldn't touch a service dog (understandable) but like... she said her dog peed on her because he is afraid of people Lol Like this isn't a trained service dog. That's just a regular dog. Your pet cheers you up isn't the same as being a service dog.

Homeless people here get dogs just for the additional aid they get from welfare. We dubbed them welfare ponies, cus they tend to get the largest and most muscular ones.

Tumblrettes are basically doing the same. "Please can I have this animal as well as everything paid for?"

Ugh, can the disabled have anything for themselves? They have a hard enough time but munchies aren't helping with anything. A disabled person with seizure alert dog who looks abled body is going to get a side eye already just for example. The don't need your ass with a yappy chihuahua that shits and pisses itself to draw more attention to them. I'm glad service animals are expensive it helps weed out people like the OP who wants a shiny toy.

Like what exactly does OP need a service animal for? Nothing they say indicates they need one and the organization knew it or they would have gave OP resources for charities. It sucks big time that services and aids for the disabled are so expensive but if you need it there are means for you. It doesn't work out all the time however.

"Service animals" has become a huge red flag for spotting munchies these days. If someone's service animal is a shiba they are full of shit, just a tip I'd like to share. Primitive breeds like shibas and chows are notoriously hard to train.

I swear this user makes possibly the most cringy posts i've ever seen.

Also ASAN is shitty from what i've seen. Someone that must be popular might have mentioned it was a good organization and all the others followed without questioning.

Apparently one of the main complains people have of autism speaks (that they mention they hate all the time) is because only 4% of their money goes to social services while the rest is to pay staff/adversment and research for a cure but ASAN's director raised his own salary in 2014 as well when ASAN received more donations. So out of the rounded up 350k in revenue his salary is of 65k annually.

I know this is a pisstake but I remembered that story of an autistic transman who was shot to death by cops, and how he had uploaded videos before his death of his service dog, a rottweiler, calming him down during a meltdown. You could tell the dog was trained because at the very first sign of distress, the dog was right on him, moving his hands away from his head.

These people really need to link their sources because the highest rates I found for sexual harassment/assault was in countries within Asia, Africa and India. United States is apparently up there, but from what I could find most of these studies used that bullshit "1 in 4-6" women will be raped statistic that was debunked years ago.

And even if you take that statistic as fact, that still doesn't account for sexual harassment which is a big problem in East Asian countries or Child Marriages which are essentially legally allowing someone to rape a child. There are so many factors that go into this.

So because the people won't look up sources I'll link something here.

Considering what happens in certain countries if you try reporting you were raped, it's probably difficult to find conclusive statistics on this.

Wasn't it sometime in the 60's where they made it illegal to have sex with your wife when she didn't want to? That's just in the U.S.

Point being is that a lot of countries still haven't made this illegal yet.
