There's a scene in woke reboot One Day at a Time where Elena the SJW daughter wanted to use the words "Latinx" to refer to gender neutral Latinos, only for her 1st gen Cuban grandma Lydia to use that term when handing out a tissue instead of "Kleenex" later in the episode. It made me laugh.

Funny how gay people like Ellen Page are "so brave" for calling out people like Chris Pratt for going to Christian churches that don't support the LGBT but stay silent about Muslims in middle eastern countries throwing gay people off buildings. I heard that she did a documentary about being gay in other countries so it's not like she doesn't know it. People like Ellen and Tumblr will talk shit about Christians and gays but point out the Islam stuff and you're being a bigot. If Ellen wants to be taken seriously maybe she should call out the bigger issues. Or is Stephen going to be the only one who's done that?

Yeah, it's called Gaycation. She and Ian Daniel never visited a Muslim majority country, but they went to the U.S. three times (although maybe she encountered Muslims when they went to India? I've only seen the Japan episode)

That sounds about right. It's always bugged me how people will act like it's so ballsy to call out Christians but stay quiet on Islam killing gays in countries where it's popular. I'll use Ellen's own words on her. Why isn't Ellen addressing that? Call out Muslim actors, Ellen and ask why people in their religion murder gay people.
I'm just sick of people only calling out some of the religions that harm gay people while ignoring others.

This Ellen Page shit lights a fire in my ass simply because she's being hailed as this champion right now for calling for Chris Pratt's head over something that's not her business. Chris has been through some tough times; homelessness, drifting all of that and now that he's found God he's suddenly problematic. I hope Chris ignores her dumb ass and keeps practicing his faith.

Most mainstream churches are a hell of a lot more accepting of gay people these days than they ever were before. It's only the fundamentalists who're still going on with that anti-gay stuff.

Hispanics are people who speak Spanish. Latinos are people from Latin America generally. Spaniards are Hispanics but not Latinos, and people from Latin America, many of whom speak Portugese, are not necessarily Hispanic.
