Severe ADHD does suck and really does cripple a person's ability to perform tasks that most people do easily, like executive functioning and whatnot, but it's manageable. It's not one of those disorders where you have it and you just throw up your hands and go WELP looks like I'm gonna sit around and moan for the rest of my life because I can't do shit about this. There's not just medicine, there're also coaches who can teach planning skills, and also the fact that the disorder causes the brain to mature more slowly, not keeping it from maturing at all! Even if you have ADHD, you can cope and learn and progress, and your brain will still slowly play catch-up to your peers. No one ever treated ADHD like it was the end of the world when I was in school, and that wasn't that long ago!
Also what's this about being hated by your friends? That sounds more like anxiety but ok.
