Everyone keeps saying Nessa is black, but I honestly think she's Indian since I'm fairly certain they're the largest group of nonwhites in England. It'd make sense for her to be Indian. Why does everyone keep saying she's black?

And Frank Oz only spoke up because Bert and Ernie were so closely based on the relationship he had with Jim Henson, and people insisting a character that's an extension of you is gay for your best friend is probably uncomfortable. Oz did lighten up on it, pretty much saying that if people wanted to view Bert and Ernie as gay, that was fine. The whole thing turned out to be a huge nothing burger.

It is true, though, that the earliest supporters of Pride were the kink crowd, as straight people into leather or BDSM would join in on the festivities.

I totally get the gripe over Pride becoming sanitized to be more palatable to giant corporations looking to cash in. That image of people holding a Lockheed Martin banner at a pride parade made my skin crawl.

In Nintendo's Pokemon games their have been a few black characters. Nessa is just one of them and the fact they want to say she's black might even be right because Nintendo's pulled the wool over people's eyes before with a previous water gym leader. Marlon from Black and White.

If you look at his feet and waist you can see where he's actually white and he's just tanned. I'm hopping Nessa is like this if only for the screeching that would happen from Tumblr and Facebook about how racist those darn Japanese men at Gamefreak and Nintendo are.

I think thats the second best outcome, the first for me is the reveal she's Indian and then all the Indian users feel validated and flock to the "She's the blackest person ever" people like crows and watch as they have egg on their faces.

and then it goes unnoticed by the complainers
lenora isn't that bad compared to the countless straight up racist caricatures I've seen in sjw art and extremes

I'm actually pretty chill with pride becoming less sexualized, since more and more same-sex couples are bringing their children there to celebrate. Call me a prude, but I don't think a child should see people running around in leather harnesses waving dildos like they're sparklers on the fourth of July.

I thought white girls had finally gotten over giving their OCs vitiligo in order to make them more "unique" and "diverse." I thought nowadays its making them autistic or a heavy darkskinned black person. This white girl is late to the party with her OC!
