Random Tumblr posts

Not to jump on the feels train, but yeah, I've got diagnosed anxiety and have had panic attacks before as well. Even in at least one instance while I was talking to someone on skype. So yeah, while different people's reactions might be different, I can confirm that they do not magically cause people to type like they were drunk and/or smashing their faces on the keyboard. More likely would be not being able to type at all. It happened when I was already ON the internet, and even though I wanted to, I still couldn't manage to let my friend know what was happening. Because I had to set my laptop down, lean back, close my eyes and calm the fuck down. And then maybe afterwards send them a "sorry, I was panicking." Typing out a bunch of carefully constructed misspellings and keyboard smashes is the last thing on your mind when you're hyperventilating and feel like you're having a heart attack.

This is basically Tumblr's latest shitfit in a nutshell. What's with them being overly protective of cartoons?

Rule 34 conquers all. There is no stopping it.

What part of "no exceptions" don't these people get?

I think it's fair to say that Tumblr cares a little bit too much about a cartoon.

Yeah, being as hostile as possible to new male fans will totally discourage them from making horrible porn to spite you. Good thinking!

I've seen an argument against Rule 34 as "oh it's just some stupid Internet rule that doesn't need a be a thing to ruin stuff" but I'm pretty sure it would still be drawn even if the rule weren't a thing.

Honestly the stereotype that bronies have given it of the men drawing all the R34 is very strange. Most fandoms are still overwhelmingly female and produce similar amounts of porn. The stereotype used to be "yaoi obsessed fangirl draws her favorite TF2 characters together." It's almost like these people have no experience online!

I don't really pay attention to Steven Universe, could someone explain if this sperging about bronies is a recent phenomenon? Or have they always been complaining and ranting about this?

They really really don't. Tumblr is even more 'babby's first online community' then reddit is. At least reddit internalises disputes through the voting system. Tumblr seems to exist to wrap all its users in cotton wool and make them hideously over sensitive to literally anything that so much as brushes up against them.
If I could, I'd love to see the tumblr userbase on 4chan, even just for a week or so. Just to see how they handle that kind of community. Hell, I'd argue 4chan is a little nicer in some areas, being anon really limits attempts at being a doxing shit flinger

Someone came up with a program to test 4chan boards to see which one was the most like Tumblr based on sentence structure and vocabulary. /co/, their comics and cartoons board, won by a mile. That board basically is Tumblr now.

A lot of nasty brony related incidents happened and since Equestria Daily is going to create a SU website tumblr is upset. They fear that "gemtlemen" or "brogems" will ruin the fandom.

The irony here is that these special snowflakes also ruin fandoms (like SU).

Ha ha ha, yeah, I mean, who even does that?

Seriously though, imagine these people reacting to the initial surges of Tiny Toons and Pokemon porn in the 90's.
