Weird. I've seen memes about it, but then, I don't follow the crazies. For the record, though, the virus did probably come from a bat, but they don't eat bats in China. I say this mostly out of concern for bats.Half the world is dying and tumblr only spergs about racism and refugees.
In a way it's not surprising they're barely talking about it. This disease doesn't specifically attack their precious black muslim gays, so there's little reason for them to be invested.
From what I know, it indeed came from wet markets. China refuses to shut down these filthy markets, however, because they are frequently mainly by elites. They don’t want to hurt the rich people’s feefees :’(
As long as they don't give them hormones or try to force them to be something the child doesn't want to be, I don't really see the problem. I kinda think people should just let kids express themselves how they want (within reason. None of this "Desmond is Amazing" exploitative crap and letting them dress like a thot). If the kid is just being a kid, they'll grow out of it. If they really have dysphoria, then they can decide to follow through after age 18.
These are pretty much my thoughts on the matter. If the kid is gender non-conforming, just let them explore that, don't make a big deal over either trying to "fix" them, or declaring them trans when they're in pre-school. If they're allowed to experiment with self expression they'll work it out for themselves once they're old enough. This shouldn't be a hard thing to do, but so many people are looking to use their kids for political shit all the time and having (or at least claiming to have) a trans kid is the hot thing for a certain brand of narc parent.

Why are trans people always cat owners if they have a pet? Nothing against cats or their owners, mind. I’m just curious why people with dogs don’t troon out as much.
Cats are independent enough to not need a ton of attention the same way other pets, especially dogs, do. For the most part, cats can take care of themselves aside from the daily ritual of demanding food. They don't need walks. They generally never need to be bathed. They don't have to go outside to go potty. They're not loud outside of the daily demand ritual. It is a very "out of sight out of mind" pet.
