Can you link to an example? I tried searching "stealing" and the best thing I found was a blog about someone's ferret (tbf, ferrets are pro-theft though).

They're part of the social justice crowd. They believe that by stealing, they are getting back at the "oppressive male system" and are directly hurting white cis men instead of the poor impoverished workers who will get fired over their bullshit.

So basically it's like why dumb anarchists claim they shop lift, only dumber.

You know what, that logic pisses me off I am getting ready to open a shop (not the kind likely for theft) but the Argument of "Oh it's Tesco / Wallmart etc it's a tax write off pisses me off" mostly because the people that do it have no idea how the insurance works at that level of stock, nearly everything is insured in a store it does not matter if it was £10 for a container load there is a insurance value attached to it. Stores pay in chain shops a proportion of what the company as a whole has to pay but that proportion is worked out by m2 of the shop, acceptable loss, staff numbers an what's stolen. The effects the staff of that store out of performance bonus and other benifits stores with the most loss don't get said bonus or benefits.

I know my Local Morrisons has a thing going where they are cutting down the yellow sticker discounts an passing them to food banks, there is one thing to steal to feed your kids there is another to try an get a ipod / game or other non essential stuff.

Terrifying fact: This kid follows my blog and they think I'm cool and I want to tell them to unfollow me because they make me uncomfortable but I'm scared to because conflict makes me panic a lot. :( I'm even putting it under a spoiler because what if they find this board??

Bonus: Their URL is one of those (mental disorder)(character) URLs...relating to schizophrenia. OW THE EDGE. And it's applied to a character who shows literally no signs of the disorder, to boot.

Yes, because 13 year olds are just as qualified to diagnose someone as a doctor who studied for many, many years.

I do think tentative self-diagnosis can be a good place to start--like, if you tell your psych "I think I might have (disorder)" or whatever. And misdiagnosis is a thing, sadly, so there can be some degree of validity to self-diagnosing, assuming you actually do the research and aren't just claiming it as some cutesy trendy thing. And even then it's probably best to word it as "there's a possibility I have (disorder)" or something along those lines. (Note: I'm saying this as someone who is suspecting she does have a specific mental disorder, but lacks a diagnosis and is planning on talking to her psych in-depth about it ASAP.)

Unfortunately, I've never come across a Tumblr self-dxer who actually based their "diagnoses" on anything solid, so...

Here's another psycho I know. I actually knew them IRL at one point and they have some sort of grudge against me (to the extent that they posted about intending to "crash" a cosplay meet solely because I planned on attending--yes, this actually fucking happened). The depressing part is that they're really popular in the local cosplay/fandom/convention scene...despite being an incredibly awful and hateful person on a lot of levels (and not even that good a cosplayer).

Because telling someone they should just Google a disorder that's extremely stigmatized and hard to find good information on is the best way to get them to understand, amirite?!

And Roxy is one of my favorite characters, too. Let me sperg for a bit: she's really loving and selfless, despite having some pretty serious personal problems (namely alcoholism), and is incredibly devoted to her friends. She comes across as a jerk sometimes and fucks things up rather frequently, but it's rarely if ever intentional and she's one of the most genuinely good characters in the comic. And this person who is so dismissive and spiteful and rude to everyone claims to literally be her. Seriously, what the fuck. </sperging>

Now, intrusive thoughts are quite common, but...wow. And they actually said they only resisted the urge because they had other things to do. Just...yeah, I totally believe you're usually empathetic, you cunt.

the opposite, they all tend to be white teens who think eating a cultures food is appropriation so they must be that ethnicity to enjoy it.
"Dude, I could appropriate the SHIT out of some sushi right now"
I know it would be ridiculous of me to assume someone who unabashedly identifies as transethnic would have anything beyond a high school diploma, but these people understand no food really "belongs" to a culture, yes? As the world developed and changed over the centuries, different cultures and cuisines blended into each other. Like Vietnamese food? Ooooo, sorry, the Indochinese peninsula was colonized by the French and modern Vietnamese food is heavily influenced by it. Love Irish pub fare? Oh dear, British influenced. Literally any "American" dish? A mishmash of styles and influences brought over by immigrants from Germany, Ireland, France, England, China, and about a thousand other cultures.
TL;DR- Anyone who thinks a food "belongs" to a culture needs to brush up on their history. Food brings the world together.

Edit: I was going to do a bit on Middle-Eastern food, but even the research can't quite seem to pin down which group contributed what, and when.
