Ants are actually too small to be reliably hit by a microwave's standing radiation wave and have too high of a surface area to volume ratio to be heated easily to the point of death. They wouldn't even be hurt unless you trapped a bunch of them in a little box so they couldn't move away from the microwave's radiation wave.
