Japan really doesn't care, if she's a sexy girl in something popular of course they'd make a figure of her and having soft tiddies on anime figures isn't a new thing for big companies. They want money and that's what sells figures.

Getting real tired of everyone comparing Scout to the second coming of Satan because he has a crush on a girl, I'm also tired of seeing everyone turn Spy into their social justice agenda mouthpiece whenever they see fit.
UGH don't get me started on that bullshit. The wank surrounding that short was beyond stupid.
I was never really THAT much into TF2. I only played it a few times. I wanted to own it but I was told that it would lag on my laptop and that the version for the ps3 sucked. But I liked the characters enough and I would mostly watch mindless but funny enough Youtube poop-esque videos that were made in Garry's Mod. That was all in the summer of 2010.
Last year while browsing 4Chan and Tumblr, I noticed that Tf2 had a new short out. So I watched it. I thought it was hilarious and pretty cute. So I went on the Tf2 tag to see what other people were saying. Big mistake. There was just so much
constant bitching about the most asinine things. From "MS. PAULING IS NOW A LOVE INTEREST DAT'S SEXIST" to "UGH ANOTHER HETERO ROMANCE". For the former, if she was introduced as a shallow female character who's only purpose was to be a love interest, then yeah I would see why people were upset. But that wasn't the case. I read some of the comics in which she was pretty important to the plot and had a purpose and it had nothing to do with her romantic life. Making her have a romantic interest isn't sexist (I don't even think the creators even canonically hooked her and Scout up). Scout simply having a crush on her isn't due to the evils of the patriarchy, you nitwits. As for the latter, believe me I would LOVE to see more LGBT romances in media, especially if they are well written. Like many, I'm rather frustrated of the lack of them. But to throw a fit every time a hetero romance appears in a piece of media isn't progressive but rather childish. Besides, the majority of people are heterosexual. It only makes sense that most romances portrayed in media would be the same. My friend does RP on Tumblr (kinda nerdy I know) and she was doing RP in the Tf2 fandom for a couple of years. From what she told me, they are some of the most horrible and insufferable people on the entire website, even rivaling Superwholockians levels of bad.
I've also noticed "ugly" fanart of Tumblr. Especially in porn. Granted, I know every artists has their own style and that's totally fine. But I feel like some artists try to create the most unappealing art style possible in order to ~*stick it to the man or whatever. I'm kinda in the Venture Bros fandom myself (as you can tell by my icon and username) and while I noticed that while some of the porn and general fanart is pretty cool to look at, a good size of it is just
hideous. Oddly enough, the people with the most ugliest art style tend to ship and draw the most disgusting pairings which include incest, borderline incest, and borderline pedophilia. Now, I don't know if there is a correlation between gross looking art and gross pairings, but if there is, it would give me great comfort and relief.
