"What's that? A little girl killed herself? Better make it about us poor, oppressed transtrenders!"
What story? Link? I assume there's more to the story and the abuse than this. Also, I'm not really feeling horror. Disgust at the father, and sad that the girl went to such an extreme, but not horrified at the treatment.

I think that what they're describing is a real thing, more or less, but it's not a sexuality in and of itself, it's just a preference in the way you feel attraction. It has nothing to do with who you're attracted towards, so it's not a real sexuality, and doesn't need a stupid label like "demisexual".

I always felt like the people who make up these labels base their perception of "normal" human sexuality on Vh1 Spring break parties.

Here you go.

Personally, I think a dad posting video of his daughter's hair cut off, to the wider public, is pretty fucked up. A teenage girl faced with that kind of public humiliation is going to take it a lot harder than a rational adult.

It just comes off as kind of weird and creepy I guess.

I just come off with the impression anyone sick enough to do that in public to his own daughter probably also did worse stuff.

My thoughts exactly. otherwise, it's starting to piss me off that "it's not his fault" has become a somewhat pervading opinion. the girl was already in a somewhat emotionally compromised state, and even assuming that wasn't his fault, I'd say that it isn't terribly hard to recognize that forcibly cutting the girls hair, followed by what I've read as hours of public humiliation is pretty damn good at putting a suicidal person over the edge, especially when social connections can be pretty good at keeping a suicidal person stable.

I think anyone who puts "autistic" in their username almost always is a giant bullshitter.
The name of your blog is basically an early introduction for readers and it gives people some impression of who you are like. If the very first thing you want to tell me about yourself is that you have some neurological condition, (a) it's weird and (b) it tells me you don't have much else in the way of personality or interests and that you're probably really pathetic.

Not one but two people I am mutuals with reblogging this post - my commentary is on the bottom.

Dunno man, I find this shit annoying. There is a difference between not wanting to be neglected by your friends (normal!) and demanding attention like a spoiled child (aka what this post is promoting). I get the paranoia of peers loathing you, which is why you confront those feelings and learn to rationalize things like a functional person.

In before I get called ableist for promoting recovery instead of the idea that people should bend over backwards to accommodate dysfunctional behavior.

This person doesn't understand the concept of conquest (which honestly a lot of SJWs don't because they baw about the USA and Europe being the most evil places in the world somehow). I have no clue where the OP lives, but if they live in either place, it is laughable that they bitch about white people if they are living comfortably and if they are white (which tends to be the case most of the time).

Honestly, this is the only best visual response I can give -- 273.gif

I believe a lot of autistic people aren't particularly proud of being autistic.
So why would they flaunt it about, when they just want to come across as ordinary folks?

Tumblr is really, really fucking weird.

Sorry if late but...

Genu-ine 'tistic here. Actual diagnosis and everything.

And I can't speak for all the autists of the world but I sure as hell don't go announcing it to everybody ever. If anything it feels awkward enough telling it to people like tutors to whom such information is really important. I'd bet the tumblrinas that flaunt it are the fakey self diagnosing type that just want to flaunt "Look how unique and quirky I am!" without actually being all that unique or quirky.
