Translation: :neckbeard:
I follow the sex worker fandom (Callin it how I sees it, maybe it was a community once but its just made up wank now) on tumblr a fair bit and its pretty gross, weird, and self congratulatory. The term "Stripper" isn't offensive to a stripper: Its a description of what actually happens in a strip club ie people taking their fucking clothes off.

Studies have shown that strippers have far less satisfaction in their romantic relationships, greatly increased fixation of physical beauty over all else, and their self-esteem is almost entirely controlled by how physically attractive they feel they are.
They also have a drastically reduced life expectancy.
I guess science is oppressive.

Ill say that most of those studies take place in locations where sex work is more heavily criminalised and are somewhat influenced by that atmosphere, though what you say is unfortunately entirely true in a great deal of cases. Ive not been one to powerlevel prior to this, and I hope not to in future, but im currently employed as a stripper. Its actually a pretty fun job a lot of the time but it certainly does have a great deal of pitfalls: a ton of my co-workers are on drugs, have alcohol issues; have eating disorders, or are just shitty people. Unfortunately I suspect that a lot of tumblrite "Empowered Sex Workers!111!!" aren't actually in the industry at all and are just playing at it like the lifting community.

Edit: Also "Science is evil b/c proper investigation using tried and tested techniques doesn't pay attention to my FEEEEELS"

Well of course they aren't; developing that type of fucktarded worldview occurs through being privileged and sheltered. Notice how pretty much all of them can just sit on their ass and not worry about anything? Or how about how so many of them seem to be quite affluent? Actually being forced to work for and fight for things makes you both less capable of being this broken because you care more about maintaining some comfort over getting shitty and pithy asspats from people who don't care about you and forces you to socialize more with not broken people, two elements that they needed to have for years.

That's Tumblr for you. Sure, a woman died, but she "misgendered" somebody on the internet, so she clearly deserved it.:heart-empty:
Lmao you're not allowed to grieve for someone until you acknowledge the "problematic" comment they made on the internet. Like.... oh no! she called Caitlyn Jenners by her former name! Big fucking deal

They're not even wrong. Because calling them wrong would make it seem as if they added any sort of legitimate point to the conversation about dysphoria.

Funny, I thought it was just literally feeling like you were born with the wrong bits.
It is, along with feeling that your other sex characteristics are wrong (voice, hip structure, etc.). Tumblr's just full of fucktards who wouldn't know transsexuality and gender dysphoria if it bit them in the junk.

Was trying to dig up some awful posts I saw the other day.

Was only able to recover this one, but there was another one I saw that was basically "Stop breaking up with your partner if they come out as asexual.", which when translated from tumblr to English means "Stay in a relationship even if you know you won't be happy with your partner."
