I know it's a plot point in MLP, but I wouldn't be surprised if it existed before that.

The Rick & Morty fandom on Tumblr is currently losing its collective shit. One of the creators tweeted that there might be an alternate universe where Rick and Morty have a romantic relationship as a joke. The tumblrinas decided that he had raped them and were triggered into oblivion.

The screenshot in particular that he was responding to is also pretty great. The joke was prompted in the first place by some Tumblrite trying to get him to condemn that particular ship for pedophilia, and the hivemind is having a meltdown over him not giving much of a shit.

I haven't seen that many episodes of it but I know within the first few episodes, they've already made several jokes about Morty having to shove stuff up his ass or being nearly raped by a jelly bean king in a bathroom.
So, all of that, in the actual show, is absolutely fine, but the creator making a sarcastic joke about Rick and Morty being a romantic couple just totally crosses the line?

It did in D&D. A number of dragon types associated with minerals eat gems. Otherwise, I can't find anything obvious.
There's a trope on eating things like this. I'm not seeing any alternatives, except maybe this ancient Rankin/Bass thing from 1986.
Considering the post is from tumblr, though, I would go with the most recent and autistic possibility as being most likely.
