I agree with the campaign message and stuff, But she talks in circles and doesn't express herself very well, and needing money, needing one million dollars to fund an activist idea is just..... what? This is more of a shitty kickstarter type deal than anything.

"I taught government for two years, I know how my rights apply".

Then wouldn't you know that freedom of speech in fact doesn't apply to people as individuals unless they are currently being sued for crimes against the government? You can say whatever the fuck you want, but you just can't be thrown in jail because of it. It doesn't mean non-government entities (which includes corporations, as well as other people) can't shut you up.

African Booty Scratcher is probably one of the best slurs I've heard in a while, will use in future. the skin lightening industry thing is pretty dumb. the largest markets for skin lightening are in Asia specifically Japan, India, and China. in the west skin lightening is used largely as an anti-ageing cosmetic. She seems like one of these egotistical money/fame hungry "activists" that's deluded herself into believing her stupid shit matters. Blackanna Wu anyone? I'm a gigantic faggot.

Conflicted. On the one hand I agree with the general message. When it comes to things like casting and look light skinned black is the more accepted in society and that's pretty fucked. On the other what this seems to be doing, more than anything else, is dividing the black community which is fucked. At the end black is black and at the end of the day lightness or darkness doesn't matter to this racist ass country.

also her crowd funding seems a lot less then above board. The donations don't seem to go to any kind of charity they go directly to her and you just have to hope that she actually spends it on "dark-skin beauty awareness".
 
I agree that the whole "dark is beautiful" message is sorely needed, but ideally you should be for all kinds of beauty. If you say that x is beautiful but that y is less important and doesn't deserve to be given recognition, then you're kind of a hypocrite.

So when she extols dark-skinned girls but insults and ignores light-skinned girls, she isn't really helping. She's just making the divide bigger. No one deserves to feel ugly or unimportant over the color of their skin.
 
I'm sorry, but the fact that you have to shout down other people with different complexions just to feel good REALY demonstrates how needy, insecure, and a jackass you are. Calling a man a coon because his woman isn't dark skinned. What the hell?

I've watched a video made by some youtuber and he basically sums up the stupidity of this lady.

Yeah, this lady comes across like those fat activists who say that chubby and fat girls are beautiful and skinny ones are ugly, bony skeletons.
