I haven't seen the Islam article, but they refer to Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris as Islamophobes and have an entire series of articles on Islamophobia, so make of that what you will.
Weirdly, their article on Salman Rushdie is quite positive, even though he's said much the same stuff Dawkins and Harris have said about Islam and has criticised the word Islamophobia. Although the fact he identifies as a feminist probably acts a get out of jail free card in that regard.

In 2015, Nawaz collaborated with Sam Harris (described by some as an Islamophobe) to produce a short book, Islam and the Future of Tolerance
. The book is presented as a dialogue, but the collaboration further damaged Nawaz's standing in the mainstream Muslim community. Particularly, the two are at one in condemning what they jointly perceive as left wing/liberal apologists equating criticism of Islamic doctrines with Islamophobia and racism (or as Nawaz terms it, reverse racism). Both individuals are of the opinion that to hold Muslims to lower standards than Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, etc. with regards to issues such as human rights, freedom of religion, and free speech, is to tacitly endorse the view that Muslims are inherently inferior, and incapable of being as "civilized" as non-Muslims. Borrowing the phrase from that war criminal George W. Bush, Harris, Nawaz, and several others claim to see anti-Islamophobes practicing a "soft bigotry of low expectations".Holy shit this guy sounds awesome and totally makes a valid point not to mention he is a Muslim! But then....
But Harris and Nawaz's notable critics are not, in fact, practicing any sort of bigotry, including that of "soft expectations." Rather, they object to a Western focus on the poor human rights records in some Muslim countries vis-a-vis women and sexual minorities, when the same West that lectures Muslims has colonized and subjugated their lands and continues to bomb and invade them, as well to support their worst tyrants.
It's the WEST's fault for them being ass-backwards savages! Of course! How dare we hold them to any standards or call them out on human rights violations because of our Western thinking and our big bad government!
Tl;dr they are just assmad that Nawaz put them in their place.

hypothetical: you hear somebody bashing Saudi Arabia (Israel) for "controlling American politics" and "brainwashing our people". is the person just anti-Saudi (anti-Israel) [possibly justifiable], just anti-Muslim (anti-Jew) [probably bigotry], or just a "stealth Jihad" conspiracist ("Jewish agenda" conspiracist) [probably idiotic]? note that options are not mutually exclusive!

Islam, like most modern religions, promotes authoritarianism, conservatism, conventionalism (see Duckitt 2010 for ACT scale, see Altemeyer 2006 for discussion). but bigotry & conspiracy are problems in their own right -- and in the West, both end up hurting more people than does Islam. so what's an anti-bigot, anti-authoritarian to do?
tldr: if you can provide a failproof 1-sentence method to distinguish an anti-Muslim bigot from an anti-Islam activist, I'll eat my fedora

To me, a site like that seems like a relic of Bush-era America when the Conservative Christian movement was still politically and culturally relevant. It's pointless now.
