Well, RationalWiki claims the RationalMedia Foundation is exempt from reporting requirements because "its gross receipts are not normally more than $5,000."

So unless that's false, that kind of money won't buy very much allahu akbar. I suppose if they pay in Hot Pockets.

The idea that prejudice plus power is more of a threat to those against whom the prejudice is held is itself reasonable, which is why the idea resonates. For instance, as a white man, I am not at all concerned with Black Israelite loons ranting on a street corner. They're lolcows to me and present no threat whatsoever.

White prejudice against someone seeking a job is obviously an actual threat to someone's standard of living.

However, the concept has been changed into the outright insanity that racism against white people is literally not racism, and sexism against men is not sexism solely because of who does it, rather than what is being done.

That's just objectively factually wrong, since what is invidious, i.e. what makes you an asshole about being a racist or sexist is that you are making moral judgments based on arbitrary, morally irrelevant criteria.

This isn't just intellectually dishonest. It's actually an evil. The problem with fallacious reasoning like this is it leads to harmful and fallacious decision-making, which may be more harmful when accompanied by "privilege," but privilege itself isn't some absolute. It's not like black people or women never, ever have any privilege and never can commit injustice.

In fact, the more they are and the more they do, the less they have moral authority when criticizing injustices done to themselves. It begins to look like, and is actually the fact, that they're just complaining about things they'd be doing themselves the instant the shoe was on the other foot.

Why should the majority be interested at all in dismantling an unjust system that favors themselves when the only consequence of doing that is that they'd be the ones getting fucked instead? They're just going to tell you to go fuck themselves, and there's no rational reason they shouldn't.
