rAw TiMe appreciation thread?

I've been getting these too recently. From what I've gathered it was a public access show based in Texas (I'm pretty sure it was Houston but don't quote me on that)

Well, those are some wonderful videos that our psychotic producer Dave has picked out for us today. I don't know what's gotten into him, but oh well. First, you saw Chris Rock with "Champagne" and then Snoop Doggy Dogg with... "Gin and Juice". And then the last one we saw was N.W.A. with "Appetite for Destruction". Very interesting, ya think?

*beep* Raw Time!

Ok so I saw a video about this and according to the video the goth girl hosting the public access show is called Tina and she was a minor when doing this job in the 90s. rAw TiMe would get tons of 'prank' calls either screaming at Tina, doing some antics, or verbally insult her or even creep on her. It's pretty funny how nonchalantly the girl treats all of the prank calls. No one knows where she is now.

Probably in her 40s and a mother of three by now. Would be fun to see how she looks like.

So much gold in public access its a damn shame so much of it is lost.
I remember seeing raw time clips so many years ago, it's nice that it's got a popularity spike but I hope retards don't try to hound her as some sorta lost media investigation or more accurately trying to find that mythical 90s goth they constantly fetishize.

Too late.

It was Dave Prewitt's access show made in the same building that produced Alex Jones. Record companies would send promo vids to play and swag to give away. Nasty Nathan was Dave's bro/co-host who had a band.

RIP The Back Room (now Emo's on Riverside)

I did some research on her a few years ago when the videos first started making the rounds and she became a nurse or x-ray tech. She looks like a normal woman and seems to have a normal life.
That's good to hear. Being in the spotlight, even if it was an obscure local broadcast as a teenager must have been exhausting.

Why can't something like this exist today?
Public access TV was pure anarchy -- if you tried to replicate this on Twitch or something you'd get wiped as soon as someone called in shouting racial slurs. It's a shame because you could probably do a lot with this format in the online era..

Public acess TV is a treasure trove.

So THE Alex Jones had his start on the same TV station at the same time? That's kind of crazy. I wonder if that's how the Raw Time clips surfaced in the first place.
