That's ironic, especially since Microsoft back then embraced the "extreme" branding, where they had killer sexy chicks and strong guys. Danny-boy doesn't want to cover how Microsoft went from that, to sucking up to every DEI cause you can shake a Halo plasma rifle at.
The console giant that used to support DOA's heaving boob physics and Halo multiplayer lobbies where people obsessed over skill while calling each other "NIGGER" suddenly started downsizing on female body types (the new Oblivion remake downsized the female characters' chest size) and started making the Halo games be more DEI-friendly and less focused on good storytelling and unique gameplay, making it instead into a CoD game with power armor and plasma weapons, destroying its unique identity, while reducing its story to a bad SyFy channel special. Needless to say, Halo, which was Microsoft's answer to Star Wars, died a slow, agonizing death.
As @Battlefield2142EU has already stated, Microsoft pushed for DEI causes more so than any video game giant this past decade. They went from being the "frat-boy" dude console giant, pushing manly men and sexy chicks, to the console spearheading the DEI ideology. And Razorfist says nothing about it while bashing Sony for the umpteenth time because he's still mad about what happened to Michael Jackson. Not to mention the fact that the PS1 featured Final Fantasy 7 and Metal Gear Solid, two games that he utterly hates, and the fact that the PS2 was popping off one JRPG after another.
I remember as an Xbox fan shaking my head at the XB1's used game policy, but Razor defending it showed me that he he's a suck-up for companies that go against what he sees as the bad guys. I was, and still am, proud of owning an Xbox original and an Xbox 360, along with my other consoles, but Microsoft just made moves that I couldn't support, yet Razor still stood for them despite doing the kind of bonehead things that Sony wouldn't be caught dead with.
