Honestly, some of these takes kinda make me think that he's following the Hasan method of responses, just at a different target/end goal than him. He's probably attacking the film because he thinks it's against reproduction and capitalism.

The problem with modern-day reproduction is that new families have barely anything that can serve as a comfortable base for kids. Most high-paying jobs are hoarded by Boomers and Gen X. Millennials and Gen Z have to scratch a living from smaller gigs and can barely pay for their own lives, much less provide for a family.

As for capitalism, money has replaced God in life. Instead of going on Crusades or Pilgrimages to gain God's favor, people seek wealth above all things. It's funny that Razor, as a Protestant, condemns Catholicism turning religion into a money game, when Protestantism fell to the same temptations and Razor even follows a version of it that preaches the rich are blessed by God and beyond reproach; funny how a religion that started off condemning bishops walking around with gold and jewels eventually worshiped the rich as if they were gods.

He legit uses the word "nihongophilic" instead of "weeb" or "anime fan". To him, liking Japanese stuff is akin to a disease. Even when I was a fan of his, I always found it weird. I mean, he was no saint either, back in the day, so him being so intolerant of another group's deviant proclivities was always weird to me.

Honestly, I don't think Razor's big enough for any commentators to make a lolcow documentary on him. He's just a dickhead who can't stop running his mouth, at the end of the day. Although with him sticking by Quartering, that could change. I predict he will self-destruct shortly after Jer does. The man's shown the capacity to flag people's videos during the Goonergate saga, so I guess we'll see.

This is why I feel so stupid for ever having been a fan of Razor's in the past, because I did see this kind of behavior before. I guess my cope was that Razorfist was just a character, so he was owning that persona over Twitter.

We were all there, my friend. No need to beat yourself up over it. There was a time when we hung on to any loudmouth on Youtube who could hold an audience. And Razor was at least more entertaining than most; he filled the void that Spoony left, and back when I was a fan of Spoony, Razor seemed like what the doctor ordered when Spoony dropped out of contact. It was only when I got tired of his weeb-hatred, and when I found out that the games he slagged were actually quite alright did I turn against him.

Spoony and Razor share the quirk in that, unlike Doug Walker and James Rolfe, who created the characters of the Nostalgia Critic and the Angry Video Game Nerd as exaggerated buffoons meant to be laughed at, Noah Antwiler and DP Harris created the personas of Spoony and Razorfist to reflect who they were inside. Hence why they were both ban-happy when it came to criticism; they didn't like people criticizing what they saw as their true selves. You didn't know where the character ended and the actual person began, whereas we could easily tell the difference between the real Doug Walker/James Rolfe and the Nostalgia Critic/AVGN.

This represented both a boon and a curse, since while it allowed their performances to be more raw and emotional, it also exposed their own inadequacies as gamers and critics, especially when they let their biases get in the way. At least the AVGN and the NC were able to hide behind the excuse of "it's a character" when they say something stupid, but Spoony and Razor do not have that excuse. And they couldn't take criticism well.

Star Wars Prequel-lover that he is, I'm surprised Danny-boy hasn't reacted to the new Darth Maul mafia show. I mean, it's everything someone like him would like from Star Wars; dark, mature, steeped in SWEU lore, more about Chaos vs. Order than the regular good vs. evil, the works. It has elements of crime dramas and film noir baked into the design.

Even though it lacks a protagonist with silver hair, thematically, it's closer to the idea of an "Elric TV show" than House of the Dragon ever was, considering that the main two sides are Maul vs. the Empire, with Maul representing Chaos, and the Empire representing Order. And both of them being total assholes to the common man. Maul and his space mafia spent the last four episodes menacing cops and rival mafiosos, and one of the cops lost his nerve and decided to call for the Empire's support, despite his police captain repeatedly telling him not to do so, because the police captain knows the Empire ruins people's lives.

This is the kind of show Razor should be fawning over, given that it's dark fantasy with a crime drama/noir twist. It's like what if the Elric Saga had a baby with Film Noir, set in the Star Wars universe, and starring a Prequel character. Everything he likes in a show is here.

I think Razör Fist has simply just sworn of everything Disney Star Wars. A lot of prequel fans and especially expanded universe has done so and Danny is both.
