I love Razor and ShoeOnHead for the fact that they just watch the personas they built for themselves get staler and staler and yet they make no effort to change or freshen things up. Both of their styles just seem so incredibly dated at this point.

To me it's so different from your more typical cow who is just too autistic/retarded to have original thoughts or is just obsessed with some property to the point of arrested development.

These two ostensibly should be able to progress to something else or at least use their snakey ways to fake it until they make it.

Then again here I am expecting reasonable behaviour from e-celebs.

Their popularity is purely coincidental. Shoe copied a meme. Razor relies on 'member berries. Neither is capable of progression both because they're uninspired, and because they're likely afraid they'll lose the loyal paypigs who expect and pay them for their usual schtick.

They both do to an extent. Shoe's persona is the vestigial remains of the "lol randum" era which is I imagine pretty comfy to some people even if I hated scrolling through it.

I would hardly call their popularity coincidental as they have both found most of their base in the culture war/anti-sjw niche. Also it's untrue to say they have never changed as you can go back and see they both have gotten much heavier in political content.

Coincidental in that they happened to be producing content as the culture war/anti-sjw niche reached its zenith. They were savvy enough to see a market there, but they certainly weren't savvy enough to have planned capitalizing on a cultural paradigm shift. They're retards willing to sit in front of a camera and blather. It just so happened there were retards willing to sit there and listen to them and they went with it. As the saying goes, politics flows downstream from culture. As such, it's a stretch to say their pivoting toward more political content is really a significant change. Particularly in Razors case, since GG was rooted in sjw politics and music - particularly metal - has always been culturally and politically provocative.

Your original point was that they were too scared to shake up their audiences not that it was some significant change. Doing more political content is necessarily divisive so your point would appear to be untrue. Remember that my original point was that they have a hard time progressing as well and this has put them both into a situation they can't easily pivot from. I feel we are talkign past each other a bit here.

Really not sure what is contentious about my statement anyway as they are both part of the shallow end of the culture war pool and have reached the nadir of their relevance. I really don't think the comparison is all that nutty.

If razor is so mad at the world right now, he could just take the road of trump and just be a politician. Will he learn from Sargon’s mistakes in running for office? Who knows at this point. Yelling at a camera on how the world is currently shit will only do much. (And I am appalled that he doesn’t describe himself as a blackpill, despite the constant rating. )
He might say he’s a “comedian”, but don’t fool yourself, Daniel, you are a political commentator first and foremost.
