Razzies 2022

If the rumors are true about Bruce Willis having dementia, then the whole category dedicated to him is just plain depressing ...
There's clearly something wrong with him. In one of his movies (Out of Death, I think) there's a scene where he just sits in the dark slowly mumbling his lines like he's zonked out on Prozac or something. People are about to look really shitty for dumping on him like this.

Not sure why Dangerous got singled out. Scott Eastwood isn't even the worst actor in that, and Mel Gibson is barely in it and he just plays Mel Gibson; pretty generic performances, I'd say. If they're going to start targeting direct-to-redbox movies then there won't be room for anything else.

I think something’s wrong with him too. Steven Seagal is just a fat prima donna. He lost his star power decades ago and went to not well-known movies since the new millenium. Who cares about him? There’s something more going on with Bruce, and based on his films for the next couple of years, this category is going to continue being there.

I was using Hard Kill as background noise while I was doing work, and so just had to ask why Bruce needs an obvious stunt double simply for walking or just standing. Why? Fucking why?

I don't know. I just thought he didn't give a shit anymore and was just doing things for pay check. Secretly wants to retire. This is the first time I have heard of the dementia rumor.

is it just me or is it sad that him not being well. Is more better than him just not simply giving a shit anymore.

But even than out of all the 80s action stars I feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Harrison Ford are the only ones who get mainstream work (Mel Gibson seems to be getting some more mainstream stuff too now and days it seems). I mean most of those old action star Legends went that route even Burt Reynolds before he died was doing b list slacks.

Chuck Norris is the only one who seemed to realized he was getting old and retired. Well the others just kept going and going.

That's what I thought too, but then I watched the RLM review this past weekend, and saw the clips of Willis wearing earpieces and thought it was odd. There have been a handful of actors over the years who have used earpieces so that they can still work with their cognitive conditions (as lines are fed to them).

Then I stumbled upon a lot of hearsay on the internet about Willis.

Intresting. I wouldn't have thought that. Considering as I said above many old actions stars go this route. Chuck Norris really is the only one who understood to retire when he got old. At that I don't understand why don't you just retire so you don't keep winning razzles each year.

The Razzies have a hard on for certain actors and will always nominate them regardless if it was their worst performance or if they were the worst actor of the year. Stallone got nominated petty much all the time even if it was some forgotten piece of junk no one watched. It's one of the issues with the Razzies: they have targets and won't let up on them even when their relevance has faded and new potential punching bags make their way onto the stage.

WORST PERFORMANCE by BRUCE WILLIS in a 2021 MOVIE

(Special Category)

Bruce Willis / American Siege
Bruce Willis / Apex
Bruce Willis / Cosmic Sin
Bruce Willis / Deadlock
Bruce Willis / Fortress
Bruce Willis / Midnight in the Switchgrass
Bruce Willis / Out of Death
Bruce Willis / Survive the Game
Honestly, I would love for Bruce Willis to pull a Sandra Bullock when he wins one for this one category

Back in 2010, before she won her first Oscar for “The Blind Side”, she went to the Razzie Awards ceremony beforehand to not only accept the award but also hand out copies of “All About Steve” to the audience.

After she won the Oscar, she even joked her award will be right next to the Razzie on her shelf at her home.

Ben Affleck was great in the last duel, no wonder the razzies are a joke.
He was one of their favorite targets in the early 2000s so of course they would nominate him if they got the chance. I haven't seen The Last Duel so I have no idea how bad his performance was but it seems to be an instinctive thing for the Razzies. Like I said before, the Razzies have a hateboner for certain actors and genres that will always get nominated regardless. In 2004 they nominated Schwarzenegger for Worst Supporting Actor for a three minute cameo in Around the World in 80 Days because they would always nominate him. There were worst supporting actors in 2004 and 2021 but because their names were not Arnold Schwarzenegger or Ben Affleck they were not nominated. They have a problem with beating a dead horse way past the point of relevance and its never going to change. They would nominate archive footage of their least favorite actors if they could get the chance just to spite them.

He's still in a public view though.

Easy payday.

His name is still a draw and probably 90% of the budget to any of those shit movies he’s in goes to his salary.

Why wouldn’t you?
I understand he wants the money but doesn't he already have a lot of money? What would lead him to humiliate himself like?
Did he lost all of his money from a bet or something?
