The RCMP are looking for a wanted man in Port aux Basques.
They say 44-year-old Leon William Francis is wanted on several charges, including three counts of criminal harassment, harassing communications, two counts of uttering threats, two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

I posted this in the Personal Lolcow thread but I figure it might get more views and interaction here, and it is based on a news article even if the most interesting part of it is my own commentary. I don't actually know these people but it's close to the region I live in and the screenshots have been making their rounds on social media. Many people in Western Newfoundland have been talking about this lunatic for the last few weeks and it's pretty entertaining.
So as you see above, we have this absolute gem of a man, Leon Francis, who is wanted by the police for a variety of crimes, some of the details of which will be outlined below.
For context, in Newfoundland we have what we call "skeets," which are just low-class greasy scumbags who commit crimes. It's similar to chavs in the UK or white trash in the US. They used to be more wiggery back in the 2000s but seemed to have shed a good deal of that aesthetic in modern times, though they are probably even worse behaviour-wise now due to fentanyl and meth coming to Newfoundland in the last few years. There is a Facebook group called Newfoundland Skeets in Da Streets where people post screenshots, photos or videos of skeety behaviour transpiring in real time. So all of the screenshots I will post below are coming from this group.

This is the beginning of the saga a few weeks ago:
The screenshots below have been circulating the last few days, but possibly were actually taken a few weeks ago as well.
So to summarize, this guy, who is seemingly related to this gross prostitute named Starr Francis (who, word on the street is, lives in a tent in the woods), from whom he caught herpes and Hep C, which he has very publicly announced on a group with 52k members in a province of around 500k total population, has threatened to take this gross cunt hostage, "cut out" her pussy and "put a broom handke up inside u tear u all apart," in addition to threatening to poison another woman's dog. He has a warrant for his arrest and is being pursued by the federal police. Despite all this though, he still has time to try to get laid. In the midst of all this, he is still on Facebook Dating attempting to communicate with women who aren't matching with him, as evidenced by a screenshot below that a girl I know sent me. This is a man who has his priorities in order.
