So, it's pretty clear now that there's no fixing this shit. Our economy is in the torlet, and I've lived through at least four of these fuckin "recessions" by now, so I'm pretty sure none of us are gonna live to see a good economy, because there never was a bounce back from any of them. Gas has now exceeded 9/11 and Katrina prices, from the lowest gas prices anyone has seen since I was in diapers, in only a year, and basically every political matter that hits the news in this country is some genuine cartoon shit that makes the term "Clown World" seem tame. I've accepted that this is the best it's gonna get, but I'm curious to see how long everyone thinks we've got left until the U.S. Federal Government implodes, or some other similar thing? That, and how do you think it'll happen? Sure, the death of the economy seems obvious, but we're sitting on a crate of ticking time bombs, so it really seems like anything could take the western world out, at this point.

Place your bets, now, ladies and gentlemen. Personally, I'm giving us anywhere from 5-10 years, if we're optimistic, and 50-100, if technological progress reaches a dystopian point in which everything we do is in VR/AR, or worse, connected to neuralink and permanently sedated so the collapse doesn't hit so hard, and we kinda drift around like zombie men for a while. That's what I think will happen. It's only natural that neuralink or some other BCI becomes the new smartphone, and we all psychically engage in social media as a distraction, because it's easier than killing us all if we can still work.

Depends if you remain 50 states. National divorce will ensure that at least some of the USA remains a viable country. Failing that, a proper world war with an identifiable external threat may stimulate aa wave of patriotism that will keep the country united, but I wouldn't consider that anything but kicking the can down the road...

I don't think you fellas get the point of this thread. I am specifically asking how long you think the US and the Western World is going to last, and what you think may take us out, now that it's inevitable. Not how long you, personally, will live. We're all probably going to outlive America's death, inshallah.

Peter Turchin predicts significant political violence by 2025. My thinking is that we can expect something like the Irish troubles to unfold over the coming decade. I think it’s about 60-40 odds that America Balkanizes in that decade long period, with the odds getting worse all the time. Imo you can see the shape of it forming now. States ban abortion or trooning out kids, other states codify the right to abortion or trans kids, every time the White House changes hands (welcome to the era of one term presidents), the tension between states and federal government escalates. I can see a place like Texas getting so fed up about federal immigration policy that there’s a violent standoff with federal alphabet agencies, that sort of thing.

I don’t see how it turns into full open civil war, but something like clusters of states forming alliances and federal power gradually weakening until it’s mostly nominal, yeah. I think that’s going to happen in the next 15 years or less.

(I would prefer to be wrong.)

It always goes in cycles.

Trump was Nixon.
Biden is Carter.
Desantis is the next Reagan
This.

You people who constantly worry about some fucking collapse of America are retarded and need to calm your tits and do a bit of history.

It’s not going to happen in your lifetime. Probably not in your children’s lifetime or their children’s.

My parents would tell me stories of how everyone used to horde silverware and jewelry. People going around pawnshops and buying everything they could find or hassling family and friends, they thought that was all that would be worth anything if the dollar collapsed. Also that was probably the birth of right wing talk radio, in many ways it’s like the edgy troll forums of today, where people turn to find out “what’s really happening”, remember like 3 news anchors shaped about 99% of news people could hear back then. The government talked about banning them all back then too, and cracking down on pirate radio and people trying to be anonymous

We have till 2030. The Establishment are fucking paranoid about 2030 and everything that has been happening was supposed to happen under two terms of Clinton. Something about 2030 has them spooked whether it's when climate change ramps up or something else.
It's because all of these fucking targets are set for 2030. Mars 2030! Implants 2030! Carbon Neutral 2030! The WEF has been pushing the year 2030 vehemently for the last decade. The Paris Agreement wants to achieve a competitive zero-carbon market by 2030.

All of the world governments want incredibly drastic and sweeping changes by 2030 and there are very, very few ways to get to that point if we look at history.

You won't have the dubious luck of witnessing some Michael Bay apocalypse, even if you grab a good seat now. It's the business of the future to be dangerous.

Now get on the dance floor with the rest of the living.

The day of the reverse-rake is nigh. The Greater Canadia Project has been decades in the making.
