What even defines the alternative? What would make it go to a blue or green or even less-than-current state?

It would help if I could actually access the website, but Firefox insists it's a virus and keeps putting me in a sec risk loop
Edit: got it to work by using the TOR browser

Others here have said this but literally what fucking metrics are they using? What are comparative examples at the very least, to show what "less fascist" means? (Ie, where are other countries on this impeccable scale?) What in particular makes the US 75% fascist? How is this calculated? How are numerical values deviated from the points made on the site, other than through comparing them to previous policies?

So is this really the most objective measure they could come up with? Are they just past the point of understanding that the media, regardless of partisan bias, tends to be sensationalist and immediate as on-the-ground or first-emerging reporting? Hot take maybe but it seems like a flawed metric, because it'll inherently point towards alarmist bait (especially by sources against Trump ideologically). The site's explainer also mentions that it weighs various media in making the judgement, but this still doesn't solve the underlying problem. Media itself can be flawed, using headlines as an objective measure is impossible (unless you're trying to measure attitudes generated
by those headlines, which ironically could probably prove the relation between sensationalist titles and fearmongering)
Imagine if this energy was used elsewhere man. Why not compare Nazi German and Italian policies with Trump proposals side-by-side, maybe with comparative modeling to discern how similar/dissimilar they might be? That would actually be an amazing use of tech and history (even if to make a charged statement), but it doesn't seem that this site is going off of anything than trying to be a repository for rage bait articles about the Tangerine Tyrant
