Reboot predicted current year

Was just sitting here musing about how fucked everything is these days, when I remembered this two part episode of the cartoon Reboot and realized, it predicted current year.

Basically, the computer people end up inside clown world, clown world has previously destroyed parts of the computer people's city. While inside of clown world, one of the computer people starts hallucinating and has a vision of a shitty dystopian future where the population is herded through checkpoints and forced to have their ID barcodes scanned.

The premise of the story inevitably being if the computer people don't defeat clown world, everyone's fucked and will end up living in some barcode scanning dystopia ran by megalomaniacs.

I remember Reboot being a good cheesy show when I was way young. Does it still hold up?

Honestly, the early seasons are a little cringy at times, they get better the longer the seasons go. It was mostly due to censorship. There's still some things that slip through. Season 3 is still a bit kiddyish but genuinely good after they stopped being censored.

It's got that general kids show cringe to it overall, but I've watched it again once or twice as an adult and felt it held up better than a lot of crap i watched as a kid. If you can get over the slight cringe shit. It wasn't all kids humour and shit.

It also ended before it turned to utter shit like a lot of other things from my childhood which I can appreciate.
