I couldn't find an existing thread about people going to concerts so I guess I'll start one.

This past weelend I went to see Band-Maid. It's not usual for me to listen to stuff like Band-Maid since I'm mostly into metal but this band rocks and it's awesome to see the amount of metalheads, normies and the families that come out to see Band-Maid.

There were two lines for VIP and General Admission. All of the VIP people got in before me since I was GA, I was at the front of GA so I got in pretty quickly and I was able to zip past the bag search and get into the middle of the crowd which was around 200 VIP ticket people. I don't really have good pics from my perspective but I got a couple pics from someone I met while waiting on line.

Misa the bassist never wears shoes while performing and she's typically drunk or tipsy.

Good shot of the stage

In the end they played one of my favorite songs (not recorded by me)

Overall it was a fun night. Their theme is based off of the Japanese maid cafes and a couple of the members used to work in that particular environment. Over the last 10 years they developed a good sound and I find that their songs can easily get stuck in my head. This venue in particular was in a theme park which is a first for them and a first for their sound crew in order to perfect everything. I would definitely see them again.

Just saw Iron Maiden again. For being in their 60s (Nicko the drummer is now 70) they kicked ass. They are one of the best live acts I've ever seen, I go every time I get the chance to see them. Been a Maiden fan since the 80s and they never disappoint.

I'm sitting here waiting for the massive window sized images to load and I should've known by the OP's pfp that it was going to be some gay weeb nonsense with a bunch of embarrassing cosplaying Asians. I should've known, but I got tricked into waiting and you insulted me with your phoneposting so I'm going to complain about it. Why can't people just listen to normal modern music?

There is no good band that is not majority white people. One black man or culturally American asian person is allowed.

A few months ago I went to see Judas Priest. It was originally supposed to be JP and Sabaton but Sabaton ended up backing out due to schedule issues so they were replaced with Queensrÿche. It was great seeing them without Geoff Tate and it was fun seeing Rob Halford at his age on the stage.

Recently, I went to see MCR, Stereolab, New Order and the Pet Shop Boys, Molchat Doma. A couple of shows I had tickets to were canceled or rescheduled- apparently some smaller bands are still having visa issues, which sucks.

My favorite though was Nothing, but that was last year. Still, it was a great show. They sound wonderful live. Ill definitely be getting tickets whenever they tour again.

Went to a deadmau5 show with my brother a few months back. Some of the most fun I've had in a long time. Fuck, I've probably had more fun during Nero's set alone than I've had in the past two years.

Thinking of going to see a smaller artist I like live in a month or so.

i'd like to, eventually, go to a concert one day and see a singer or group i like live

Drove several hours to see The Electric Six. The venue was dirty and strange, in a city that was dirty and strange. They were fucking fantastic and I will venture into a dirty strange place again the minute the opportunity avails itself. My only complaint was the lead up acts, who were atrocious and stole time that I could have been enjoying The Electric Six with the nine other people who showed up.

At least you weren't in a theme park

Last gig I have been was in May after two dry years bc covid. One local Doom band and Bongzilla. I was so stoned I existed in at least 3 different universes at the same time.

Have lost any interest in going to a concert since then.

If you ever want to see plenty of big tiddy goth girls with everything exposed, go to EDM concerts. I don't know what it is, but in all 3 EDM shows I've been to, they were everywhere.

But I was stuck in front of a black guy in some BDSM-type getup for a while at the last one, so that balanced it out :(

I've been thinking about going to see a local artist but I'm not sure because it would probably be loud and impossible to handle.
It would depend on your tolerance to retards. When I went to see Band Maid, I was next to a faggot who's entire personality was literally being a faggot. His friends were swinging glow sticks and it was annoying as fuck. I also encountered a troon in their halloween costume.

I typically wear ear plugs when I go see a band so that mitigates the loudness somewhat. Most local bands suck as in they suck at arrangement or one of them can't properly play their instrument whether it be a guitar or your voice. Some bands don't suck, you'll find out pretty quickly.

I saw reggae artist Kabaka Pyramid a little while ago for his new album tour and I got to meet him. I'm super happy and still internally freaking out.

I went to my first concert ever to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the end of this summer and it was amazing. John Frusciante is my favourite musician, so seeing him jamming live on stage was like living a fantastical daydream.

John was smiling and having a blast up there and I loved that for him. Chad and Flea also brought insane energy to the stage and when the audience demanded an encore the entire stadium vibrated - when I was walking back to my car after the show I heard a local remark that they had never heard the crowded stadium sound that pumped up. Anthony kinda struggled, but the crowed happily sang the lyrics he couldn't recall.

And I got to enjoy it all with beloved friends and family at my side. :heart-full: :heart-full: :heart-full:

Just saw The Acacia Strain and Lamb of God, then the next day I went to where Disturbed was playing just to see Jinjer then immediately left because Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed do not interest me in the slightest. Might post a couple of short clips later.
