Are there any albums that are coming out or have come out recently (preferably not more than a year ago but it doesn't really matter) that you are excited about?

What band or musician? Did you enjoy the album or are you heavily anticipating or dreading it? Want to give a quick overview of your opinion or a full on review? Go ahead.

I just ordered Goblin Cock's new album called Necronomidonkeykongimicon, try saying that three times fast.. They are a mid-tempo Stoner/Doom band with melodic vocals.

It's their third album, and their second album was way back in 2008. Their third album came out a few months ago on September the 2nd 2016 but I didn't really hear about it until the last week or so.

I've heard one song on YouTube from their new album and I really like it, so I've got high hopes for this and I think I will like it as much as their first two albums.

As usual, the album art is awesome.

The first thing I did after listening to Blue & Lonesome was listen to it again, which is also the second thing I did after listening to Blue & Lonesome, and exactly what I'm doing right now.

If you're not doing it currently, you should also listen to Blue & Lonesome.

The main single's a little too over-political for my tastes, but I love seeing Tribe back in full force one last time on We Got It From Here...Thank You 4 Your Service. One of these days I'll drop some dough on it and buy the whole thing on vinyl.

I am reviving this thread in lieu of making a new one.

Franz Ferdinand's 6th album The Human Fear comes out on January 10th, nearly 7 years since Always Ascending. They're also doing a tour. I ordered the limited edition record, since I'm a fucking nerd and a big fan of FF, and I also got tickets for one of their shows on the US leg of their tour. "Audacious" is too Beatles-ish for my tastes, but I really like "Night Or Day" and am excited to hear the rest of the album. It's also the first album that the band has done with their new drummer, Audrey Tait. I didn't like how synth-forward Always Ascending was, so more rock songs on The Human Fear pleases me.
