he can't refute any of rich's immediate comebacks, i think the aids ate away at his frontal lobe.
It takes him serious mental energy for him to consider how it would affect people who aren't himself, like how he because he runs gimmick Twitter account linked to his personal account, everyone else must do that. Bet he would struggle with the breakfast question too.

There's a treasure trove of awkward/cringe content from Pre Rec streams, Rich always came across as though he didn't want to be there and just wanted to play Xcom in his own time, so he was always getting pissy with chat. They were just in general low engergy and in my opinion they didn't jive well at all together as live performers, given Jack wanted to be TheEscapist and Rich didn't want to be playing live. Also one time, in Xcom, Rich almost failed a mission on the first encounter against 4 xenos despite having 2k hours in the game at the time, so their lack gaming skills would lead to some pretty funny DSP style rages sometimes.

I think one of the more interesting Pre Rec streams was when they were wandering around a park in Milwaukee, the summer that Pokemon Go was released. They had to rig up this baby stroller or cart to carry their laptop, power bank, and other devices in order to stream Pokemon Go.

Rare to see them in the wild and unscripted like that, with the occasional rando going up to them to ask what they were doing.

I remember liking Pre-Rec's "Friday the 13th" stream with Jay. Not so much because gameplay was any good but I always enjoy Jay's soying over this franchise. Otherwise there used to be some funny clips with Mike in the background fucking with Rich. Also they occasionally provided some interesting behind the scenes trivia for RLM things. For example they confirmed that Latza actually drove to Milwaukee because he thought they wanted him to join the crew.

Now that you reminded me of Pre Rec, I listened to the "Rich's Stolen GTAV" one. Jay mentions how they tried to do a commentary track for Howard The Duck and they got so plastered that they had to quit because it was a "horrible disaster" :really:

Their Mass Effect Adromeda review is kinda brilliant in that "endurance comedy" style. Most of the review is Jack sitting there in awkward silence as Rich destroys his Mass Effect 3 discs using a pair of pliers.

For all of Jack's faults he's always the best 4th seat on the panel and some of the greatest episodes of BotW are his. His biggest annoyance is how he'll soy out on the intro movie picks but it's always reigned in on the discussions and he's a good foil to Mike.

Jack catches a lot of heat for the dumb things he says on social media and I think it slops over into how people perceive him on the show, especially given that the three core guys are relatively quiet on that score. I've seen Rich Evans say some dumb fedora-tipping things from time to time, but you usually have to go looking for them. Jack, meanwhile, will give oxygen to the "Last Jedi hatred is a pipeline to white supremacy" horseshit and became rudely defensive when called out on his friendship with MovieBob ... and anyone who sticks up for MovieBob is immediately suspect.

If it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't know about what a dumbass Jack was, so I'm willing to ignore it. Based just on how he is on the show I think he's a good 4th chair. Maybe not the best overall, but he's a solid choice and he's made me chuckle more than a few times. 'Fuck you Ryan, fuck you and your fucking fucking Canada fuck' lives in my brain. Hell, that entire episode is gold, even though Beard Fat is in it.

I thought I was done with videos about the Star Wars series after Rise of Skywalker. Why am I watching this aside from Mr. Plinkett?
Because we need Plinkett to tell zoomers that no, the prequels still suck. No matter how bad Disney Star Wars is, the prequels will always suck.
