It almost got made around 2010 when Robert Rodriguez cast Rose McGowen as Sonja because he cheated on his wife with her at the time. The project dissolved when they broke up and #MeToo became a thing.

Movie seems to focused more on modern Red Sonja rather than classic Red Sonja. Classic Red Sonja looks like a fucking maniac and her hair is wild to match her personality.

The new one follows the modern shitty, weepy and emotional Red Sonja. And, characteristically, her hair is just flat and seemingly always wet.

I want a movie with a drunk, surly and most definitely crazy Red Sonja. Not this weepy stick figure who makes fun of chainmail bikinis even though she doesn't seem strong enough to wear actual armor.

In the original Robert E Howard stories, Conan often wore armor.

But sex sells, male and female. I get it.
