6 gorillion hours in Photoshop. What a day it's been.
You laugh at the Oceangate victims because they were rich.

I laugh at the Oceangate victims because they fucked around and found out.

We are not the same.
But it's a money pit as is, and if this is the best they can come up with, it's better than just pulling the plug and calling it quits.
No, pulling the plug and calling it quits would be better. Even better would be they take all the servers to a junkyard and compact them, tear down the buildings, and salt the earth where they once stood.

the guy has been pissing and shitting himself for the past few days, unable to cope with the fact he's no longer able to exercise that one single modicum of power that he's lorded over regular users for the past few years. dude cannot even control his frantic ham mittens from typing out a coherent sentence since he's so fucking freaked out.

spez should probably unsuspend him though, awkwardtheturtle is more than willing to become a good servile janny and clean it up and inhale corpo boot as long as it grants him the power he utterly desires, same deal with that other powerjanny Merari whose inconspicuously VERY silent during all this (probably afraid his account gets taken away again as well if any of his subs go NSFW/private), none of these lame goobers have any actual convictions about the API changes.

as usual, TJD.
I've heard of Awkward, he's like one of the most infamous and hated powermods and I'm actually impressed. Losing all that power and he still hasn't gone out and touch grass yet.

I've joked about powermods being on suicide watch but dear god I think Awkward might actually commit not alive.

I've never moderated anything before but aren't people like Awkward who moderated a fuckton of subreddits useless anyways? No way to moderate efficiently if you're overlooking a fuckton of different subreddits, different topics, and shit or at least that's what I thought.

Apparently, blue city subs are going to start censoring crime, urban decay, homelessness, looting, etc. cases because a poster has either a history of posting only negative stories to the cities sub or might not be a resident of the city.

First, this is just burying their heads in the sand.
...
Forth, this shit will never be applied to progressives. If their is a negative story about right wingers commiting crime, you could get a person posting on how they moved to Europe decades ago shitting on the red state and it's allowed.
I'm fine with it at this point. This encourages lefties to move to (and stay in) their liberal shitholes since first they think they're paradise on earth and then after they move in and learn the truth, think it's normal and they just have to put up with it.

It also discourages them from moving elsewhere, preventing them from spreading their high crime rates and retarded policy ideas to safer (read: "red") areas.

Fuck 'em. Let 'em rot in their subs and in their cities. The more of them stay there, the better it is for the rest of us. Stiff upper lip, old chaps, you're saving the world by enduring its worst!

My Favorite Reddit Cow Weighs In(pardon the pun) On A Jannie Union

I suppose if you're a Jannie and want to pay union dues for your unpaid job there is certainly some union who will take your money.

He's not moderating for relevant quality content, just randomly banning people and deleting posts he doesn't agree with because he's a power tripping faggot, or at least used to be. Now he's just impotently seething.

yknow idk why they haven't just called for TTD and TND yet. What better way to ward off advertisers than hardcore racism and troon mockery? If you're gonna make your sub unusable and inaccessible might as well go the whole 9 yards. But wait! we can spam porn, swear and post John Oliver but saying a man isn't a woman is a step TOO FAR!

r/3rdprinting was hit:
"So it looks like the seniority on /r/3Dprinting has been changed, and that wasn't communicated to me or apparently any of the other moderators."
Oh no, whatever will I do without the creality shilling subreddit.

3Dprinting is, possibly, one of the few hobbies that anything more advanced than "how to unclog your shitty chinesium machine" is outside of reddit, this is quite literally a case of nothing of value lost.

And this is the case precisely because outside of buying a premade chinesium machine and then paying some dude to fix it, you need at least a somewhat basic level of competence in electronics, something that's way beyond the average midwit who uses reddit.

On the topic of reddit, has anyone noticed that most people are so fucking stupid and their post would be easily solved with a fucking google query or Google Lens? Like, "bug with weird nose" instantly turns up weevil, very common on the whatsthisbug sub, or people provide a picture of a bug with "who is my new friend" and it's a motherfucking bed bug. Redditors (I mean the general invested community and not Joe Normal who has an account, lightly browses some special interest subs but doesn't know what goes on with the site) never go outside and have no perspective and can't do anything for themselves.

Then half of the replies are recycled jokes that were never funny and never needed to be said, but most humans do little more than just make noises anyway.

That's why reddit protests are so ineffective like this. Redditors are faggots that emulate what they see from the people around them, and their protests are basically modeled after lunchroom sit-ins from the civil rights era because "dur that's how protesting is done its in the history book!" instead of thinking of an actual strategic way to get what they want.
They're pointing to a "conflict of interest" between "maximising ad revenue" and "user safety and community integrity". Unsurprisingly yes there is a conflict of interest between "let's spam our subreddit with porn to fuck reddit's ad revenue" and the continued operation of reddit, and they're being treated accordingly (I have no idea where "user safety" comes in).
Who could have guessed that the admins would flat out say "If you don't reopen the subreddit or reopen the subreddit and make it NSFW, you'll be removed as mods"?
I think it's important to note, and it hasn't really been discussed here, that for years the admins would respond to complaints about mods like awkwardtheturtle, Bardfinn, and Merari01 among others, "make your own sub" "subs are owned and run by the moderators," etc etc. The admins give no crap about power mods per se. They love 'em, they just want them perfectly obedient.

Let me get your almonds activated--can you name any local city subreddit anywhere with a conservative bent? Any at all that's not an offshoot? Why do you think that is? How the FUCK do you think that statistical anomaly happened?

For those of you who have no clue who we're talking about /u/freespeechwarrior was a mod for r/WatchRedditDie or some other anti-censorship subreddit that sold out to the admins in order to keep his subreddits open. Everyone in those subreddits told him he was a retarded faggot for doing so but he trusted the admins and then got assblasted out of his mod position and eventually joined the Farms. This is why Harbinger of the Kali Yuga, aka freespeechwarrior, posts so many autistic screeds about how evil the admins of Reddit are.

Seriously dude, this shit happened like 5 years ago, let it fucking go and stop being an autistic faggot on yet another message board.
I think you should use google to find out who freespeechwarrior actually was before making yourself look like a big thread-derailing faggot. Not everyone who thinks the reddit admins are huge faggots is /u/freespeechwarrior you idiot. Funny how I was just talking about how redditors don't google. I'll let everyone else look it up and realize how bad your autism is.

Even completely red towns in red counties in red states are overrun with subhuman troons and SJWs. Even when an actual troon would get his ass kicked walking down the street trooning it up.

I wonder how spez feels about having to deal with the same petty narcissistic sociopaths he forced everyone else to deal with for years. There is no low the jannies won't stoop to if they think it can fuck with reddit's investors

He probably feels right at home, given that he's just as much the petty narcissist they are. I'm kind of puzzled why this fantasy that the admins are well-meaning or held hostage by the mods persists. It's not the mods that curate the front page, site-ban people, or fucked with and edited posts on the_donald.

That was spez.

In fact you're giving too much credit to reddit not being fake. They even admitted to seeding the site with fake users and fake posts to get people viewing, which they admitted when Voat.co was a thing and they criticized them saying they'd never make it, or something of the sort. The truth is in the end the mods that remain on the site are there because they have a similar agenda to the admins' vision of the site. He fucking talks to an inner- circle of these people like Bardfinn lot of these people on slack. The mods are just dumbasses that do free labor for reddit and help maintain the illusion of being a user-driven site for ad $. If mods don't do what the admins want on the site they find a way to remove them. They had no problem removing the wallstreetbets mod when it was good publicity. If they are certain there will be no publicity and no outcry they will just straight-up ban users without even bothering to find a post against the ToS. So why don't they do anything about Merari01 or Bardfinn, why don't they institute a limit on how many subs you can own? Again, as I pointed out earlier, why is -every- local, city, state, country subreddit so extremely left wing? Why were admins listed as owners of subs like /r/politics for years until silently hidden after 2016? Good questions huh?

I don't. I even said before on this thread that the AI jannies will be much worse than the real ones and the AI will be programmed by trannies too so there's no escape. But the reason reddit needs such a heavy handed moderation in the first place is because its because if it didn't its own userbase would get very spicy very quick, the average thread on reddit has like half the comments removed, only the most braindead morons are allowed to post unquestioned.
Oh I agree, it was more said in jest. Hell, the bots they have there are practically AI jannies already, from the sounds of it. Not to mention, the few informative topics that are there, are filled with endless [deleted] [deleted] (comment removed) comment trees that render the entire thing pointless. Name any other forum that deletes a comment, but shows you that a comment was deleted and displays an entire string of that endless bullshit. If tranny-jannies are gonna mop it up, at least mop it ALL up. 🙄

Whether it is the same person or not, the similarities are remarkable. Either way, I can't see how anyone could be so invested in the day-to-day business of pReddit to where they know the histories, usernames, and personal lore of various mods and admins, while professing the opposite.
I've never moderated anything before but aren't people like Awkward who moderated a fuckton of subreddits useless anyways? No way to moderate efficiently if you're overlooking a fuckton of different subreddits, different topics, and shit or at least that's what I thought.
No kidding! I was a part-time mod for a relatively active ~1500 member forum years ago for a few months. It was a pain in the ass just keeping things on topic and organized, while smoothing over the occasional squabble, and I found it exhausting. And that was before the modern-day pajeet-fueled spam-bots and clickbait malware. I don't see how anyone could find it enjoyable to be literally terminally online and moderating non-stop all day long!
r/3rdprinting was hit:
"So it looks like the seniority on /r/3Dprinting has been changed, and that wasn't communicated to me or apparently any of the other moderators."

The complaining dude is already sucking cock:

"While I'm sure the new head moderator is up to the task changing the order without discussing it with either of us is really not acceptable."

This reminds me of the MySpace days and the drama surrounding who was or wasn't in your top 3 friends list. 🤣
