Rugby? When I watch rugby the guys are all pretty big, but also capable of runningIs there a sport other than American football where a halfback is a position? Halfbacks are supposed to be pretty big because they're a jack of all trades position. Sometimes they're a running back, sometimes they're a pass option, and other times they have to block the 300 pound dudes from smashing your quarterback.
But that assumes bullets are the threat here. No fucks are given about your "surface area" by the 152mm shell landing 2 feet off from you. Also I think this guy really underestimates the amount of bullets that are fired in wartime. The overwhelming majority hit absolutely nobody and being 15% smaller in terms of exposed surface area really isn't going to do shit in a warzone.
VIDYA SPERG TIME! I recently played Xcom, and the conclusion I came to is that light cover trumps a higher defense stat in the majority of cases. Related to above, explosives ignore the defense stat. I assume this to partially be the case IRL.I'm assuming this person operates under the assumption that every shot is some dice roll like Xcom or DnD or some shit.
