Some people only need their ideas lightly and loosely reinforced or validated to follow through. It gives them a secondary factor to blame when it all goes tits-up, or at least that's the theory about why such a small modicum of encouragement can push dumbasses over the edge. I wouldn't find it surprising at all; people make major life decisions based on a Google search.About 3 weeks from first post to last. Part of the reason I think it's fake is how quickly he moved into actually serving divorce papers. Another part is that everyone in his real life was firmly against it, but he still listened to Reddit on the basis of two posts. But I want to believe, the schadenfreude is too powerful.
