I really don't hey this idea that women are in a constant state of terror, fearing for their lives each day.

I was thinking maybe the reason was they went through something terrible in their past and are having a hard time dealing with it and thus need a protector(be that a man or a dog) but no they think it's because of how people raise their daughters.
