My new favorite reddit pet peeve is legacy boards that have a bunch of rules that were clearly designed to keep retarded browns and kids from shitting up the subforum that have succeeded so well that they have killed all board activity and yet the rules persist. Like do I really need to jump through all these hoops when no one is going to read my post anyway

My favorite part is how the top replies are obvious ChatGPT posts, yet they have hundreds of upvotes anyway and the one or two people calling it out get downvoted into the negatives. These people wouldn't know a bot if it was shorting out right in front of them, their only measure of what makes a post "fake" is whether or not it paints a member of one of their poor protected angel demographics in a bad light.

I remember watching a video essay made by a redditor trying to categorize the different types of "ragebait" on AITA, and she tried to shove the "majority group oppressing/falseflagging poor innocent minorities" angle into fucking everything. I had to click off the video when she labelled rich people the 'majority' to try and fit it into this retarded dichotomy.

It reminds me I have a draft for an OP on personal anecdote subreddits like these that I need to get back to working on.

Law enforcement isn’t spending any money on investigating these people. Most of them are LARPers and legitimately very stupid people having meltdowns on the internet. The most I can see happening is some random person gets raided by the FBI after posting 400 comments about killing government officials which then turns into a circlejerk about how Flumph is literally fucking throwing people in fucking jail because they fucking criticized him for being a fucking evil fucking Nazi Chud.
