I feel like I’ve seen this exact same scenario happen to many hobby and gaming subreddits over the years, down to the same infighting, meta posts, and ban waves.

Well, yeah. Just think of how many subreddits (gaming or otherwise) have the perma-gay subreddit icons and banners, and ban anyone who says it's stupid to make the subreddit about gay shit instead of the topic everyone came there for.

it stands for "complex PTSD"
from my understanding it's just a way for people to claim PTSD without having a single identifiable traumatic event in their past that they could actually point to as the reason. so instead, they talk about every minor personal failure, annoyance, grievance and setback they ever experienced and claim that all of it combined makes up some sort of "complex trauma" that gives them permanent PTSD.

More like half of the internet in general. People with the whole package are such a dime a dozen nowadays that it really makes you question the idea of neurodivergence as a whole. I've seen too many people claim to be diagnosed by actual doctors for it to just be a simple case of self-diagnosis. What's going on here?

I actually had to take another screenshot of his comment history because I was going to post this 4 hours ago, had other things to do instead, then came back to see that he never stopped. I'm genuinely wondering if this is an AI bot, because god damn.
 
I'll never understand their logic. Sure race relations between White people and non-Whites has never been perfect. However, acting like an insane jerk with White guilt is not going to build bridges. These people see you tarding out and they're laughing. Just because you're "anti-racists" will not matter in the end. What works is working together and building a community.

a lot of them also make up molestation stories, very common with the cPTSD redditors, you can tell they are made up because their stories keep changing from post to post, they keep adding molestors ( i was abused my father , next post: i was also abused by my brothers, next post: my neighbor also kiddle didle me, next post: my mom was sus while she was bathing me) or they get "repressed memories" that sound extremely fake. I'm sure there are some authentic victims in there, I'm not talking about them but the obvious fakers. The fake cptsredditors may also have DID which is fake in 99.99 % of the cases ( a lot of professionals think it's not a thing)


Anyway i hate that soldiers in Vietnam supposedly had simple ptsd but bored upper middle class women have complex ptsd, it makes 0 sense.

Well guess what LLMs are extremely good at all of those things. We've entered into the world to come where you can't tell if a comment was shat out of AWS or if it's a 30-year old morbidly obese neckbeard sitting in his basement.

Cinnamom Toast Ken (a bodycam/TLC reaction YouTuber), put out a video this morning where he reacted to a hoarder’s house, and the hoarder claimed to have depression. Ken (who claims to have been diagnosed with clinical depression himself) made jokes about the guy using his depression as an excuse to not clean.

Nasty, filthy Redditors become angry with their parasocial relationships, and cry about his troll “apology” livestream from this evening.
The comments on himself taking testosterone and dealing with the side effects of them, while ignoring the amount of pointers on Reddit, is amusing hypocrisy.
These remarks wouldn’t have escalated so much if it weren’t for dirty Redditors and YouTube commenters becoming angry over it.

Reddit recently made it much easier to hide your profile. Jannies of course hate this, because you can't stalk people's profiles to find reasons to ban people you already don't like. But also the most obvious consquence of this is happening- spammers are using it to keep accounts going for longer.
