That’s because most people who get into hobbies have no clue where to turn to besides finding a subreddit, and joining Reddit means you’re instantly bombarded with vague titled subreddits like “r/technology” where I just went on and the first article was about “DOJ deleted study showing domestic terrorist are right wing”, what does this have to do with technology and why is this also gonna be cross posted too 5 other default subreddits?
It also proves they have never been actively listening to their perceived enemies have been saying all along. They've been fighting so many strawman on Reddit.

I remember going to my local towns reddit for hurricane resources because the county government here blows ass, and people were busy talking about Trump. Why we we in a local subreddit discussing federal politics? I asked if we could at least talk about county politics and got hit with "who cares". These people are brain dead faggots.
