I'm 90% sure it is the issue screenshotted earlier, that people active in porn-subs got auto-banned from supposedly "child-safe" ones.

Both because porn is Reddit's only current raison d'être and driver of traffic, but also based on just skimming the histories of the actual bots that seems to be what they're mostly doing.

Yep, Reddit admins will protect the tranny groomers, thus when the tranny groomers get auto-banned by bots the admins kill off the auto-ban bots.
 
Here's some potentially more niche drama but I thought it was entertaining nonetheless. For context, Critical Role is a (formerly) very popular DnD show whose community is so aggressively toxically positive that a new sub had to be created, which I enjoy perusing because I like reading about people complaining about things. It's called "Fans of Critical Role."

Aabria is an incredibly obnoxious cast member who talks constantly, is louder than everybody else, and is constantly trying to insert herself into other people's scenes. I'm sure you all can guess what race she is, so historically many complaints about her are shot down with excuses like "uhm black people are just loud honey" and "she's a woman so you just THINK she talks too much chud"

One brave Redditor decided to put that to the test and actually gathered some nifty data. As it turns out, Aabria genuinely yaps 30 PERCENT MORE than any of the other cast members. Redditors respond with rationality and poise:

Since it's a containment sub most comments are actually okay with the data, but there's still a lot of stupid discussion happening.

I have always hated Critical Role with a burning passion so watching them get nigger'd is hilarious.

The exact same thing happened to Achievement Hunter with Ky being loud and obnoxious. A sound engineer took data and showed the sound waves being significantly larger than other members and simply requested their editors turn her volume down.

This, of course, was met with calls of Racism and Misogyny and Achievement Hunter made a post/merch with the slogan "loud is what we do".

You can see how well this turned out since the group rebranded then shut down completely 2 years later. Turns out telling your longtime fans "don't like it, don't watch" is a bad business move. 🤔
