It used to be good n shit and I thought it was another insanity arc where they parody leftists but no all this shit was meant to be taken seriously.

Earthbound was never released in PAL regions.
I'm an idiot and talked out my butt real quick. You're right.

EarthBound (Mother 2) was originally released in America and Japan in the 1994/1995 for SNES. The original Mother was Japan only.

The WiiU virtual console I was talking was released in Europe in 2013, which is the first time it was released in Europe (Pal region). It was also released in America and Japan.

I have no idea why I remembered it the way I did (being Euro only), but truthfully I haven't really thought about it for like 10+ years. Basically, I def misremembered and posted stupid lol.

Either way, my point was that outside of Japan and very niche weeb audiences in the west, Earthbound/Mother was never a super accessible series.

The only way it became a "Nintendo staple" overseas, was due to Smash, unless you were "in the know" which many people weren't. (And if you were, it wasn't like logging onto Reddit and knowing it all like it is now, my sister asked her friend's friend to mod our wii back in the day)

Basically my point was These fags hating "new gens" (mainly kids) for only knowing about StarFox, F-Zero, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Earthbound, etc via the Smash rosters are just nitpicky imho. All of those aforementioned series are definitely not as ubiquitous and well-known these days as Pokémon and Mario are.

To reply to an actual Reddit post, I am so sick of these fuckers when it comes to Palestine. I'm sure most Palestinians would rather die than get help from fat retard gays on Reddit.

I think most voice actors making themselves content creators are attention seeking, but I particularly hate the sanctimonious anime dubbers.

Ironically, I think Jim Cummings' podcast is routinely interesting but I've noticed people are trying to cancel him for "being Maga."

I don't know where they get that because he seems pretty apolitical on his YouTube, all I know is that he is openly Catholic. They're trying to cancel Winnie the Pooh.

Reddit is basically a physical construct to trap nigger cattle in Giygas fields and polarize them into Epstein puppets. It's honestly pretty genius and based but I stole Ruben Epstein's temporal anchors so he just loops into his first day of federal prison every time he dies. I wonder if any Iranian lunar nukes were able to liquidate Jeffrey when they blew up Mossad HQ

Earthbound is a series defined by youtuber culture and people wanting to seem better than others. It's basically the "high art" of SNES games, that only the most dedicated autists can appreciate. The game sucks and the XD SO RANDOM humour doesn't help it any.

Gaming culture is nothing like it was growing up. I don't blame kids for only knowing a character from Smash and I'm not even sure if kids know Smash these days. I don't expect kids to love final fantasy when there's a 10 year gap between mediocre games. I expect parents to buy them the safe nintoddler console and the safe mascot games mixed in with Roblox and Minecraft. The older kids will move onto Fortnite and Apex. And there's nothing wrong with that. Our tent polls have rotted and collapsed. There's no reason for kids to care. At best you get a soy boy "sonic movie" where a 90's comedian long but forgotten comes back to do a 3 minute dance segment with a green screen version of himself.. And er.. there's shadow in it at some point I guess?

I don't know. Manchildren need to rope themselves if they're angry todays culture isn't identical to their childhood culture. People like this have stagnated us into oblivion.

No Jeff's gooning and has like 6 bodyguards surrounding him at all times in pissrael. I don't even hate the guy anymore nutting on barely legals out under the White Chud Sun is pretty based. Jeffrey has legit princesses lusting for his seed. Ghislaine rotchild tho.... umaxwellhill tho........... the rotchilds tho................ the sun and moon spy on them for me..................

Honestly I just assumed Earthbound was released in Europe because a few of my friends had it, I keep forgetting that they must have known a dodgy guy who got them copies or a US console. Hell they might just have been lying and emulated it.

There were converters that you put an America/Japanese game in and a real one in the back of and it let you play them. I had a few foreign games back in the day.

People see youtube as a way to make streaming profitable now. You do videos to get enough people to super chat you when you stream. Then you say you're a professional video editor and edit other people's videos to make money while youtube pays everyone pennies. It's all a weird grift.
No one seems to realise that Youtube as a "job" is still a relatively new concept as well, it's only been a thing for roughly 20 years and the landscape changes so rapidly over such a short period of time that it's pretty much impossible to intentionally crack through and appease the algo-gods. I've personally known dozens of starry-eyed up-and-coming youtubers/animators when I was younger, some of them even managing to get a few hits. Looking back at them now, none of them got anywhere. Either dead channels, still uploading but no views, etc. At best some of the animators got lucky and managed to get gigs working for OTHER youtube channels. Everyone sees the success stories and that's for a very good reason, Youtube actively hides failure, but in the end it's all one big Ponzi scheme based on creating useless time-wasters for your pleasure.

But what I find weird is how no one acknowledges just how cucked the whole idea of working towards being a recognized YT content creator is. You're putting in hard work and effort for this giga-corporation and you will receive ZILCH unless you randomly win the jackpot and people start clicking on your videos. But you can keep trying for years and still not get a dollar, all the while still providing this giga-corp your hard work which THEY will profit off of. You put in the work for an indeterminate amount of time, and Youtube will just decide at random whether it'll want to start paying you or not. Is this seriously the super-freeing creative job that all Youtubers keep boasting on about?

When I was a teenager I was friends with a guy who just decided he didn't have to work and would become a Youtuber instead. He was a lazy piece of shit with "le awful autism" like the types we talked about just yesterday and he'd always make fun of the stupid wagecucks who have to go to work while he was comfy at home playing vidya and making Youtube videos... but at least when I go to my job I get fucking paid??? And crazily enough, I still had time to play vidya and be comfy later on. He needed to put in hours of work and take ADHD medication just so he could focus on making his stupid five-minute videos that would get maybe a couple thousand views if he was lucky, and for no actual substantial return. He's been doing this for years already, maybe he'll get his big hit eventually, but at that pace you could have already become a manager at McDonalds or something and be making 50k annually. But he instead chose to do Youtube because he wanted the freedom of being an internet creator, except he hasn't made a dime and now as he approaches his mid-20s he's completely unhirable, has no useful skills or job history, and will probably be locked in living on subsidies because CAPITALISM EVILLLL. I never saw him admit it but even he acknowledged that he was confused why he wasn't famous yet last time we spoke. I'm still just baffled that he failed to ever realise that all of the effort he put in was way more dystopian than anything le evil capitalism was doing to the wagies.

Being an internet creator is not freeing, it's not rewarding, unless you just love doing it there's no fucking point.

Earthbound is incredibly foundational in a lot of ways though. Giygas as a final boss utterly upended the concept of final bosses in gaming, and the fractal nature of Giygas wasn't really showcased by another character I know of in any form of media until Fused Zamasu came along in Dragon Ball Super... 22 years later. Honestly I use Giygas as a foundational concept for my conceptual knowledge of Hell beyond the 9th layer. Those that are too malignant to even be frozen in ice get trapped behind a fractal consumption of their own hedonism and blind greed, just like Porky narrates. Being assholes and forsaken, praying does in fact not work for those on Layer 10 and beyond, as the following layers serve as further compaction into the spiritual equivalent of ADX Florence. Also, try saying "Giegue" 5 times fast and you'll feel like the alien. Earthbound and Mother 3 on the GBA are both super cool games, M3 has a lot more heart tugging going on while still keeping up the humor. Porky Minch in particular is another fascinating character between the two games. Only freaks want to end up like Mr. Minch does.
You can conceptually suck my foundational nuts.

I do enjoy seeing a youtube creator realize they've made a prison for themselves. They're sick of making videos about their channel topic, but have no way out of it. If they change topics the videos tank, but if they don't then they will go insane. So they create this prison where they hate being on youtube but have to do it. Wings of redemption was/is in that situation where he hated CoD but if he didn't stream CoD no one would watch him. So he had to play CoD for 20 years..

This idea that the 40 hour work week is somehow particularly grueling is retarded, especially since the griping largely comes from people who spend a majority of their time pretending to get desk work done. At my peak average I was working 80 hour weeks across three jobs, though I did have one job where I logged 200 hours over a two week pay period. 40 hours is nothing, especially when you develop a schedule at home as well (something I believe is holding these people back more than any ADHD or autism).
The ugly truth is a lot of us are addicted to video games and being online. When we were kids we had unlimited time and when faced with the realities of being an adult, it's easy to seek any semblance of that old lifestyle we're supposed to have grown out of. While there's legitimate arguments for working less hours, personal fulfillment is good, I don't trust people would actually use that time productively. I think it's an injustice to work harder to allow lazy people to not work at all. It's like taxes; why support increasing taxes if the usage isn't being audited and we know there's widespread fraud? Why give manchildren additional time if they'll just use it for gaming and gooning?

Having the mandatory 40 hours a week gives you a push to make the hours outside of work count. It's a bitter pill to swallow but we all gotta grow up eventually.

I tell them that, for security purposes, I need them to describe a toilet to me. They usually hang up immediately.
yeah usually if I take a cheap shot at something easy like izzat or eating hamburgers they pick up on it immediately
it might be something ye olde tyme style enough that a twentysomething has no clue but if I don't get any reaction after today I'm probably gonna drop it

Most of them work in California, so not toeing the line and repeating the mantra of leftism would get them blacklisted from the industry.
It's very low effort work and it creates interest in them. Basically they're hoping they can get an alternative to needing to be hired, while also making themselves more desirable to being hired.

The big push into celebrity podcasts came with Covid. But the current push is just desperation from has beens and no ones thinking it'll help their career in the long run.
