The hell of it is that they still think of themselves as different and underdogs and punk and "the resistance", all the while quashing any dissent wherever it may exist.
It really sucks that I have to brush shoulders with right-wingers just to keep ACABing and talking about bombing government buildings, but here I am. Sieg heil I guess, you guys.

And, for the pièce de résistance, they've shared how they don't like being called "jannies," but because they're Redditors, they disguise the fact the term gets their panties in a twist by claiming it's "transphobic."
I should know better than to try and argue with the logic of reddit moderators, but I remember 4chan janitors being called 'jannies' for short way, way before any of this tranny drama became mainstream.

Okay, which one of you jokers did this?!

I was just perusing r/nonewnormal, seeing as it's been (quite curiously) quarantined but not banned yet, checking out what the boomers are up to... lo and behold, I see papa Nool on the frontpage.

EDIT: Thx @Cliff Booth for the plebbit archive link.

I'm reminded of when they tried and failed to make the word trap an anti-tranny slur and claimed that 6 gorillion trannies were murdered by people saying the word trap on the internet.
I'd wager that effort is still ongoing. It's just kind of stalled out after the Animemes civil war. Which I'm not sure if anyone mentioned here, but ended with an alternative GoodAnimemes gaining a substantial number of subscribers, Animemes going private for a few weeks, returning on an invite only basis, then eventually fully "returning" while banning all dissenters and anyone who mentioned the whole debacle. So basically a sub split. Anyways, that kind of killed their moment in their crusade against the term trap for the time being, but I'm sure they'd be happy to continue it if they got some sympathetic mods in other large anime subreddits.
They are now planning a counter-offensive in response to the admins telling them to stop being annoying, which includes unionizing all Reddit mods and writing to congress.
God damn some of them have gotten delusional. Unionizing is for employees. Reddit mods are just power users of the site, essentially high value clients. They have absolutely no legal protections. If they try and "unionize", Reddit will cheerfully demod all of them, ban them if necessary, and they will have no legal recourse as Reddit grants their positions to replacement mods or fills their positions with actual employees.
I was shocked that the Admins didn't immediately seem to side with the censorship crusade given their history. I guess they don't like being told what to do.
Well that and they probably felt it was a bad precedent to give into what amounts to a temper tantrum. They've bowed a bit to pressure in the past, but I think this was a bit of an escalation compared to what's come before.

I'm sure the admins would love to take a harder stance on covid misinformation. However nailing down what counts as said information is easier said than done, with twitter and facebook having embarrassed themselves on this point over the last year or so.

Saw the coronavirus nonsense post in one of the few subreddits I still view. I just want to know what they think they will gain from this. At least with the net neutrality thing they could act like they were an underdog fighting against the 'evil corpoman' and the FTC. Now it's quite the opposite. I guess anything to squash out the small amount of people who haven't already left the echochamber.

Man these are some power tripping jannies. Lawl there even trying to unionize that that's gonna be effective.

Oh no! Whatever will we do without jobless trannies censoring information on the world's already most sterilized forum? I kind of doubt Redditors understand what a union is beyond automatically considering it good because company bad. It's sadder that they consider what they do work.

"The Spice Girls' song
'Two Become One'
has been reborn as prophecy.

The eclipsing orbits of
two giant celestial bodies -
Ethan Oliver Ralph
and Joshua Conner Moon -
have converged to become
a single maddening entity,
momentarily darkening the
chimneyed London skies
with their weebous majesty
before vanishing, as if
the heavens were insufficient
to contain them.

I wanted the merge to happen
but not like this."

N8thegr8 is a stupid cunt. When I used to use reddit, he was one of the worst people on the site. I dunno if he gargles the admins balls, but the dude has an in with just about every subreddit and just ruin them. Changing rules censoring everything, and being a stupid faggot in general. God I forgot how much I hated reddit in the end.

I like how he has to make a call to action to censor stuff they disagree with.
keep in mind that this guy moderates about 370 subreddits, quite a few of such being large name subreddits with a lot of influence.
but a small handful of such are subreddits he sits on to claim the name from the Big Evil Nazis, an action that used to be against the reddit TOS until relatively recently.
[example 1 (r/democrat_regret) - a political subreddit]
[example 2 (r/aganstN8subreddits) - a subreddit name that could've been used against him]
[example 3 (r/fragilelatinredditor) - redirects to r/fragilewhiteredditor]
there's a fair amount more but you get the point; if a subreddit name could've been used against him, be used for "hate", or dare to support right wing politics, he and his mod clique have already attempted to claim any potential names those subreddits would've used.
powermods are a plague on reddit and this recent move is just another push by them to claim more absolute control over the site for whatever reason.

anyways Ethan Moon, RIP. Miss you big man. Gone but not forgotten.

like are ethan and josh brothers or something?
Listen and believe: They may and may not be related, but I read on the internet that this person is totally dead and Kiwi Farms MADE IT HAPPEN, so it must be true. Please share and get in touch with USA Today.
