same reason they say "cake day" instead of birthday
they think they're being wacky and funny, they don't recognize that it's just cringe
I hate to show how much I know about Reddit, but cake day isn't someone's birthday. It's the day the account is made.

People making a big deal out of that is still cringe, though.

I'd just say it's informal speech like "the little lady" or something but considering it's plebbit there's probably some "muh patriarchy" thing where saying "my" implies you own your wife like a slave or some dumb shit like that.
Yeah reddit, like when I say "my brother is coming by later" that means I personally own him. The same reddit losers also ruined 'y'all' - it used to be good ol boys who said this, now its just online faggots. I feel sorry for some Southern dude in his 60s who said this all his life now being outnumbered by metrosexuals saying it.

Same, performative-folksiness.

Which I suppose is still better than saying SO or partner as a straight in hopes that you may be mistaken if just for a millisecond for one of the revered gays.

Yeah, I can't stand 'my partner' - people on KF say it too, so it's not just a redditism. When I hear partner I think law partner, medical practice partner, etc not a euphemism for a 'baby-daddy you're shacking up with' like its become.

I say the wife, y'all, folks, you'uns, etc and I grow very weary of these retards who can't tell a holler from a hole in the ground appropriating my culture. Not because my region of methed out hillbillies have a culture in need of protection, I just don't want people to mistake how I talk with folxxx faggotry.

You think any of the shit on plebbit is real? Let's take a look at other posts from that sub that hit the frontpage recently:
>My husband pissed in me
>My husband said my sister deserved her beating
>I cheated on my fiancée just before marriage
>My husband cheated on me with our underaged babysitter
>My husband cheated on me with my mom for over 20 years and got her pregnant with twins
>My husband slapped me on the mouth
(Who the f even calls it that? lmao)
>My husband bottles his liquid turds
>My son had drunken sex with this girl, and no one but me thinks it's rape
>My dad married someone younger than me, his daughter

Notice a pattern? Trueoffmychest is just the current writing-assignment sub, same as how antiwork is the FOTM outrage sub.
My personal rule for anything on plebbit: The more awards a post has, the more likely it is you're looking at an ad. Possibly even an ad for plebbit itself to increase user interaction.

Half of these seem pretty regular, bad shit you encounter over a lifetime of being involved in a community of people where you hear things through the grapevine. They could be fake stories, but so could anything. Don't let the atomized, rootless, bugman way of life infect you, make sure you stay attached to some community of normies IRL.

Writing about how messed up "my husband" is, is just the current plebbit-trend to appeal to the untapped femcel demographic. Just like all the garbage on AITI or relationshipadvice before it, or those weird posts about mail-order dna-tests.

Just remember that these are the people calling you every 'ism and phobic term invented. Redditors are sociapthic degenerates who project their own insecurities and problems on the rest of us. The only purpose in their lives is be a punchline or a statistic.

New political Reddit drama as r/Russia bans anyone talking about Ukraine. The aftermath of their new thread announcing a no-politics rule:

Subreddit drama thread (Archive)

Archive of the original no-politics rule thread on Unddit (but a lot of posts just say things like 'removed within 10 seconds' which sucks)
The r/Russia subreddit was made private shortly after this. (Update: It's back up again now) (Update #2: lol they privated it again)
