I don't understand where these people came from, the antinatalism shit really only took off very, very recently. Ten years ago even it was almost completely unheard of, even online.

You'll see them claim suffering outweighs the good in life, but that just isn't true for most people in the modern world, let alone the west. These people have it amazing, yet are sad sacks of shit posting about ending all life and procreation being evil on reddit. Somehow I suspect the idea of antinatalism would be completely foreign in a Nigerian slum and the people would rightfully be offended by it.

Ultimately they're weirdos who are incapable of handling even minor adversity, that would be much more content if they just have a consant IV drip of morpheme.

Its just a bunch of mentally ill women who are either taught to be terrified of having children or dried up husks who missed their chance to have kids and take it out on everyone.

some seem to come from a "children are just annoying and waste my time" manchild perspective, others from a sour grapes "if i can't have them then nobody else should either" incel perspective

Childfree is weird, but I wouldn't put them in the same class. Not wanting kids of your own, or even hating kids in general is different from "we actively need to ensure all life of earth is ended so no more suffering exists".

The stuff I see advocated for on AN is downright evil/severe mental illness, CF is a bunch of bitter wine aunts and manchildren. I guess these days there is cross over though between the two.

But that's what interests me so much, because it doesn't really seem like that. Every AN I've run across in the wild doesn't post like a seething wine aunt, or a castrated nu-male - They talk more akin to the Christfags you see on various anonymous tunisian shoe-shining imageboards, where they so blindly and single-mindedly push their agenda that it comes across as the depraved ravings of a cultist; And should you see fit to challenge their worldview, they'll come prepared with ill-fitting, pre-programmed responses to your statements that sound like they were etched into the inside of the person's skull. It's quite impressive that we went from Bob Arson and the Church of Euthanasia to this.
Anyways, I'll stop here. ANs are suicide cultists, have sex incel, cope seethe dilate mald ywnbaw etc.

re: adoption vs sperm donation, a lot of adopted kids are already fucked up through no fault of their own even if you get them soon after birth. Most people who place their kids for adoption don’t have the greatest genes to begin with, they may have used substances throughout pregnancy, and the longer the kid spends in the parents’ orbit the worse off they are. I actually think child welfare laws should be stricter and certain types of abusive or neglectful parents have their rights terminated earlier so more kids can have a better shot at a normal life with an adoptive family.

To be fair I'm guessing something that has also helped Baltimore to go down the tubes is the opiate issue simmering in the background in the US.

Heroin tends to be produced in the Middle East then shipped up through ports in the northeast US for distribution in places like New York and Philadelphia, so cities like Baltimore and Camden, NJ have been ravaged by addiction and gang activity. I'm not surprised Baltimore is a disaster by now given those areas were already in bad shape years back before everything started going down the tubes; at this point I think it's less an issue of trying to save cities like Baltimore and more an issue of keeping the chaos as contained as possible.

I've heard some out there theories on the roots of feminism, but "women are just jealous that they can't rape as well as men can" is definitely a new one.

This dude sounds kinda scary above and beyond a normal reddit way. Once a creep starts constructing mental narratives that normalize and project their urges, that's a sign the authorities should probably keep an eye on them.

I think some of it is untreated depression, my best friend used to say a lot of similar stuff before doctors finally ended telling her the same I have been saying and she got put on pills.
 
I noticed r/antinatalism is around 75% women which leads me to believe either feminism or BPD is responsible.
 
Why do those evil rural people enjoy their way of living, why do they refuse to live in one of our glorious cities? To be honest this is probably one of my favourite Reddit "things". They have no real idea what life is like outside of the city they grew up in, arguably less understanding of rural areas than many rural people do of the city. They don't understand it and they hate it.

Anyway the whole thread is a disaster basically, in both directions.

Agreed, the urbanite cannot conceive that products can come from places other than Walmart. They can only picture a straight back and forth to the nearest big box store rather than patronize a local farm stand or mom & pop shop in a rural community.
