Look at how these people frame their piece as if in modern society the world is out to get them. It's ridiculous. Statistics show men experience higher victimization rates than females for all types of violent crime except rape or other sexual assault, so you can stop pretending the boogie man is out to get you now.

this is like calling airbags shit because even with airbags people can still get injured or die. like, yeah they can, but the risk is significantly lower because in a lot of common scenarios the airbag does in fact help.
same with guns. yeah, if you drink poison that makes you pass out then the gun won't do anything for you, duh. but there's plenty of common confrontational situations where having a gun and the will to use it will absolutely be the factor that decides which side comes out ahead, and that outcome can mean the difference between life and death.

but i get the suspicion that the will to fight just isn't there with these redditors. they're broken to the point where they would actually rather allow some subhuman to have his way with them rather than shoot him dead. they have internalized the slave morality mindset to the point of no return.

I disagree on only one aspect: It's not so much self censorship as it is just straight up ignorance. American media has spent the last 20 years scaremongering about muslims, Chinese and Mexicans coming over here and taking over that no one's noticed that we're on our way to becoming India 2. In my previous line of work, I was rudely awakened to the fact that Pajeets come in, buy shit out, force out all the workers and then replace them with other indians within a year. This is a normal thing and no one talks about it.

Maybe it's because I grew up with decent men but that doesn't make sense to me.

It's true though. Impoverished, ebonics ridden thug culture is celebrated rather than put down and this has been an issue for decades. The sad thing is that these coons turn on other blacks who become successful people who "get out of the hood". You see it pretty commonly with a lot of black rappers who become successful, their hood buddies turn on them.

I'm not black and I've experienced it myself (hung out with a rough crowd in highschool). All the little blackie gangbangers I'd smoke weed and hang out with would try to pick on me for actually doing decent in school, getting a job, buying my own car, etc. A few years after HS I happened to run into these guys after not talking forever. Told me about how his life had been shitty, living alone in section 8 bullshit after his mom kicked him out for being a bum and still being one, being homeless at one point, etc. I ended up helping the dude get a job where I was currently working, help him start saving money and all that - he thanked me profusely. Within a week of being at the job he walked out midshift without saying anything and went on to text me later talking all this shit, telling me I think I'm better than everyone and all this other stuff. Dude had a severe inferiority complex; I was genuinely trying to help the guy out and he spits in my face for it lol.

TLDR: Fuck niggers.

We use ounces for weight and volume all the time, but only basic measures like ounces and not barleycorns or stones as the US Customary System is a simplified form of the traditional English (Imperial) system that only uses measurements you'd find in your day-to-day.

Funny you mentioned plug types because this sort of reddit-using geek is also likely to oppose gas stoves and rally for upping the US electric grid's voltage from 120 to 240 (because Yurupeens) and plugs are likely a part of that.

even if you assume that all rapists carry guns (they don't) it still leaves you with a choice between "man with gun vs woman with gun" or "man with gun vs unarmed woman"

a lot of firearms information is in non metric units too. inches for barrel length, gauge for shot pellet size, grains for bullet weight, etc

In the UK imperial stuff is still used by model engineers, stonemasons and other heritage craft stuff and it's still pretty easy to find tools based on the imperial system. For example a lot of kitchen scales have Ozs, older steel rulers are in inches and we use miles instead of Km. We used to have a set of scales that used stones even.

Also 240V is what used to be standard in the UK, EU countries (including UK now) use 230V.
