Feminist hysteria is so fucking annoying.Reddit leftist really hate the idea of self-defense and owning a gun. It feels like they have a deep misanthropy:

this is like calling airbags shit because even with airbags people can still get injured or die. like, yeah they can, but the risk is significantly lower because in a lot of common scenarios the airbag does in fact help.Feminist hysteria is so fucking annoying.

Look at how these people frame their piece as if in modern society the world is out to get them. It's ridiculous. Statistics show men experience higher victimization rates than females for all types of violent crime except rape or other sexual assault, so you can stop pretending the boogie man is out to get you now.
Also her first proposition is retarded, carry it in your bra lol? What, is there some law I haven't heard of where women aren't allowed to use holsters like everyone else?
And yes, there's a chance you can't draw your weapon in time - sadly we have not invented personal shields that make it impossible for an attacker to harm you under all circumstances yet. Sorry about that. And what sounds better to you, having a weapon you will be able to use most of the time, or no weapon at all so you're fucked? These people are insane.
I disagree on only one aspect: It's not so much self censorship as it is just straight up ignorance. American media has spent the last 20 years scaremongering about muslims, Chinese and Mexicans coming over here and taking over that no one's noticed that we're on our way to becoming India 2. In my previous line of work, I was rudely awakened to the fact that Pajeets come in, buy shit out, force out all the workers and then replace them with other indians within a year. This is a normal thing and no one talks about it.Redditors complaining that they can no longer find tech jobs.

Looks like decades of tens upon tens of millions of pajeets flooding into the country, cheating on interviews, and hiring each other on their own privates networks and teamblind.com finally had an impact on the average idiot.
They don't even speculate as to why thanks to their many internal mental filters preventing any sort of 'wrongthink'.
Couldn't have happened to a more useless group of people.

The woman understood "women shouldn't feel less safe than men in a developed country where they can buy a gun" as "women shouldn't feel unsafe", absolutely because she thinks men themselves don't want for safety themselves.Reddit leftist really hate the idea of self-defense and owning a gun. Maybe it's because I grew up with decent men but that doesn't make sense to me.The woman understood "women shouldn't feel less safe than men in a developed country where they can buy a gun" as "women shouldn't feel unsafe", absolutely because she thinks men themselves don't want for safety themselves.
Feminists have a caricatured understanding of the male experience.
DAMN i need a new word for that level of based.Seeing posts like this makes me wish (even if I’m glad it has not happened) for a Lean on Me remake.
Lara Croft begs to differ. It just makes more inclined to; you forget they have guns too, and are more inclined to use it quickThe more women that start to carry guns, the less a man would be willing to take a chance on a random act of violence.

We use ounces for weight and volume all the time, but only basic measures like ounces and not barleycorns or stones as the US Customary System is a simplified form of the traditional English (Imperial) system that only uses measurements you'd find in your day-to-day.Why though? I never got the whole metric vs imperial. Americans rarely use either, like with weight they just use pounds. Not ounces, stone and very rarely they use ton or a slug. At least they use grain in their guns.
I know in most parts of Eurogay, we just list both. Road signs are mostly in KM, but in the UK its Miles still, and pints and fl-oz.
I honestly cannot see why anyone would ever care enough to decide to "champion" a system for weights and distances etc. Do they love 2 pin or 3 pin plugs?
this is a copypasta, i remember reading this as an article on some website many years agoView attachment 4860900

what? lara croft is a fictional characterLara Croft begs to differ.
even if you assume that all rapists carry guns (they don't) it still leaves you with a choice between "man with gun vs woman with gun" or "man with gun vs unarmed woman"It just makes more inclined to; you forget they have guns too, and are more inclined to use it quick
a lot of firearms information is in non metric units too. inches for barrel length, gauge for shot pellet size, grains for bullet weight, etcWe use ounces for weight and volume all the time, but only basic measures like ounces and not barleycorns or stones as the US Customary System is a simplified form of the traditional English (Imperial) system that only uses measurements you'd find in your day-to-day.
In the UK imperial stuff is still used by model engineers, stonemasons and other heritage craft stuff and it's still pretty easy to find tools based on the imperial system. For example a lot of kitchen scales have Ozs, older steel rulers are in inches and we use miles instead of Km. We used to have a set of scales that used stones even.We use ounces for weight and volume all the time, but only basic measures like ounces and not barleycorns or stones as the US Customary System is a simplified form of the traditional English (Imperial) system that only uses measurements you'd find in your day-to-day.
Funny you mentioned plug types because this sort of reddit-using geek is also likely to oppose gas stoves and rally for upping the US electric grid's voltage from 120 to 240 (because Yurupeens) and plugs are likely a part of that.
