when you push something like that on someone, an outcome like this (they drown their boredom in alcohol until they fall asleep) is to be expected - and even at that point the guy still somehow doesn't realize that she's putting up with a massive annoyance just to spend time with him, instead he even gets pissy and offended? like, did he expect her to keep up fake enthusiasm for his dumb movies throughout the entire day? ridiculous, dude deserves an ass kicking tbh

A lot of the comments are just stupid shit like "I agree the movies are not good and I would have done the same as your girlfriend". Disliking a movie your partner enjoys is not a moral justification to ignore them on their birthday and drink until you pass out lol. She should have just objected and propose they do something else.

At the same time though, in the girls defense nobody wants to sit around and watch movies all day as a bday celebration. OP is a clueless geek. Normal people in normal relationships do things that both people enjoy, especially on birthdays. Because you know, birthdays are supposed to be fun for everyone. A nine hour binge of Lord of the Rings is boring as fuck to almost all people. He couldn't even host it in his own home. "I'm going to come to your nicer house to watch nine hours of a movie trilogy I know you don't enjoy" is not a good way to get laid.

There have been a lot of pitbull attack videos and posts on the front page over the last couple days. I think because a video of a lady brushing her pitbulls teeth got a lot of attention but also because a couple days ago in the UK a pitt attacked a police horse completely unprompted.
