He wasn't, but his staff were. Ever wonder why Churchill was so fond of some of them? Regardless, as Britain saw German power rising, they feared that they would be left behind. Lord Halifax, then secretary of state to UK, wanted and encouraged war with Germany, using Poland as an excuse. He was the man who convinced Chamberlain to offer the guarantee to Poland, offer support to France, and issued an ultimatum to Germany. He quite simply explains that the guarantee to Poland was never about peace, it was about Anglo dominance. If UK was so concerned with Polish survival and freedom, one would think they would have declared war on the Soviets after their invasion, or not given them to the Soviets when they asked.

Halifax was an appeaser who realized that after Munich another war was inevitable. Absolutely nobody among the Allies actually wanted a war, and to suggest otherwise is to engage in massive revisionism of your own.

If it was any other website I wouldn't but earlier today a troon smeared their own shit all over the mirror in the women's restroom at a Catholic church to own the bigots and posted a selfie on Reddit posing next to the shitty mirror.
